The Wholefoods near me is selling a "Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Cake" made by the Sugar Plum Fairy baking company. Words cannot describe how delicious this cake is. I'm having a piece right now. I wish you all could join me. :P

One is coming to Omaha in September. The manager has already e-mailed me back and forth a few times! It will have the gluten-free bakery, and he said the items are out-of-this-world!!! :D I can NOT wait. It will be worth the hour drive!!!

IF it is coming to Omaha, Jen, it is bound to come to Indiana too!! Keep checking their web site and see if one is coming soon. :)

This cake is labeled gluten-free? I have a whole foods near me in Tempe, AZ. I will go there and see if they have any gluten-free cake...I had not noticed it before.

jknnej, I'm in Mesa. I've been to the whole foods in Tempe. I did not notice any specialty bakery items. Let me know if you do find that cake there! :)

It only says "Wheat Free", but the ingredients are: Chocolate, butter, eggs, sugar, raspberries. This is the fourth time I've bought it for my son *though he lets me have some*, and he's never reacted to it. It's really good, but tortes like this are easy to make. There are tons of flourless chocolate torte recipes on the net. Some are easy, some are difficult. Make your own if you really think it sounds good. WHY WAIT???? :P

When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they had a systems problem around that time.

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?

We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
