Has anyone had any positive experiences in dining at either of these places?I wrote to both but didn't get any specific recommendations except Cedar Steakhouse at Foxwoods .I've dined there and found them to be very knowledgeable and helpful but expensive!I was wondering if anyone else has tried any of the other restaurants at either of these places.I'm going to a show there in Sept.???Thank you

I know this is an older post, but in case anyone does a search and is looking for information, Margaritaville at Mohegan Sun is not only an awesome restaurant, but has little symbols on their menu of each meal that can be ordered gluten free. I got the nachos and they were HUGE and delicious. Hope that helps.

This was very helpful. I'm going to Mohegan tomorrow and my boyfriend wanted me to find a place we could eat at. I tried looking on the website but it's not that helpful. Atleast I can go to one place to eat.

Hey guys!

--David Burke steakhouse is FANTASTIC for gluten-free. The waitstaff and host staff were wonderful...I got filet mignon, mashed potatoes, and a tableside (to DIE for) caesar salad without croutons.

--The Hard Rock Cafe has a gluten-free menu!! May I recommend the pulled pork nachoes and a milkshake!

--As far as Mohegan is concerned...be careful. I got glutened at Summer Shack.

I see that the Veranda has a gluten free menu that wasn't there last year when I went. Looks fantastic.

Welcome to the the celiac.com community, @suek54! Is the Dapsone getting the rash under control? Are you practicing a gluten free diet yet? The only known cause for dermatitis herpetiformis is celiac disease.

Hi Im new to this game, so bear with me.  May through to December last year totally miserable, covered literally head to toe in the worst rash ever, itching like I just cant explain. After seven different medics told me just to "keep putting the cream on, whatever it is will go in the end" finally one lovely doc diagnosed dermatitis herpetiformis. Biopsy 6 weeks ago and Dapsone, which I seem to be tolerating OK so far.  The NHS is in permanent backlog so no result yet but just wanted to say hello to anyone else with this maddening condition.

I know gluten free proteins like eggs and yogurt but nuts especially trail mixes are tricky as they are hard to find certified gluten free trail mixes especially w/o added sugars. I agree subscription boxes are hit or miss I think I have found RXBar with simple ingredients no added sugars gluten-free might be a great protein bar.

I sure appreciate the information. I knew there had to be gluten consumption for the blood test, but I did not realize that also applied to biopsies. Thank you so much for that nugget of knowledge. I look forward to learning more as I dive into this website and the collective knowledge, experience, and wisdom from those who have gone before and/or those who are just beginning the journey like me. Thank you for sharing this — it’s really important. The FDA is actively seeking public input on improving gluten and ingredient labeling, which could directly impact how people with celiac disease and gluten sensitivity shop and stay safe. Clearer labeling would help reduce accidental gluten exposure and make it easier to identify hidden sources of gluten in foods. I encourage everyone here who is affected by celiac or gluten sensitivity to read the announcement and submit their own suggestions — real lived experience matters and can influence policy changes that benefit the whole community.
