It may be DH. This picture looks like your pictures. Have you been diagnosed with celiac?

I can't view the pictures, to me it only looks like text. Is there something I need to do to see the pictures?

Thanks, that worked!

It does look like the picture that carriefaith posted, and I have seen a lot of pictures that look like both examples.

My rash is different, I get tiny clear blisters that are not very raised but are deep...they itch terribly and then later when they dry up the skin where they used to be cracks and hurts.

Here is another picture that looks similar: Open Original Shared Link

These look really bad. Try to find a Dermatologist doctor who knows about Celiac but that definitely looks like DH.

I'm sorry - that looks painful!

I had a dream two nights ago that I had a rash just like that all over one of my legs and as I looked at it I said, wow, I do have DH. Yikes! Thankfully it was a dream.

Also looks a lot like what shingles looks like - I had that when I was 18. If DH is anything like shingles... shudder.... :o

A doctor should be able to take a sample and biopsy it and determine if it's DH.

Good luck to you -

Stephanie

Thanks for the support :P

I don't know if it's really DH because these rashes aren't painful/itchy at all. And there is no blisters, just liquid looking like sebum. Strange..

Nevermind, i'm waiting for blood results and after my doctor will do an intestinal biopsy.

Let us know how everything goes :)

Hi, did you ever get your results back? I broke out in a rash that lasted for a year and my doctor prescribed it as shingles. I think it is DH though.

Blood tests (transglutaminase / endomysium) are negative.

Hi !

Some news. I did endoscopy / coloscopy because i feel very very bad with gluten (chronic diarrhea, fatigue, muscles pain, headaches..).

There is no villous atrophy, just an unknown mild inflammation of duodenum, and presence of lymphoid germinal center.

I'm sure i'm definitely very sensitivite or delayed allergic (the same thing?) to gluten. A little amount of gluten give me symptoms  (piece of bread, tomato sauce with wheat starch or even rice krispies!)

Since i'm on gluten free diet, my skin problems have decreased a lot, as you can see on these pics :

That's strange because the rashes sounded like DH : a kind of insect bites with fluid inside, and the rashes were symetric around the mouth. The only thing (and the most important) thats differs is the lack of itching/burning.

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
