I've never checked, but does anyone know of any gluten free shaving cream, soap, toothpaste and deodarant. I assume most of them have 0 gluten, but just in case, can anyone recommend some things which are not too hard to find. Thanks.

Never assume toiletries won't have gluten. Wheat germ oil and wheat protein are more common than you would think.

Dove and Suave will label gluten ingredients clearly. For organic Giovanni has some nice products in the hair dept but I haven't checked the skin care line. Burts Bees also has some good stuff.

Ravenswood is correct. That being said I've never found a toothpaste with gluten but I've found many shampoos and face lotions with gluten. Hair products and cosmetics seem to be the most likely place you'll find it in the toiletries category. I use Garnier hair products, Secret deodorant and Ivory soap if that helps. Lots of people use Dove products.

Burt's Bees Whitening Toothpaste has gluten in it. :P Just for the record. ;) I was using it at the time I realized that I had to be savy about that kind of stuff. Now I use Tom's of Maine instead. ;)

Yeah, since the company was bought by Clorox, they aren't so great on the gluten free status. :( They don't have any information available unless you contact them, anymore.

Now they say this on their site:

I currently use Right Guard Extreme Deodorant

Are any of these ingredients gluten-casein-corn-soy containing?

Aluminum Zirconium Octachlorohydrex Gly 16.0%

Inactive Ingredients: water, alcohol denat, cyclopentasiloxane, propylene glycol, dimethicone, trisiloxane, calcium chloride, PEG/PPG-18/18 dimethicone, fragrance

      No, Life Extension contains Benfotiamine and Thiamine Hydrochloride. Objective Nutrients Thiamax contains TTFD. I take both of these and a B Complex.

      I take both Benfotiamine and TTFD. You might want to start with the Benfotiamine for a few days and then add in the TTFD. You can look for NeuroMag (Magnesium Threonate). A magnesium glycinate is fine, too. Doctor's Best is a good brand. Don't take more than 300mg total per day of magnesium or it may have a laxative effect. Be sure...

I was never big with multivitamins as well as doctors I just read when I was first going gluten free to take a multi but I think I will stop them and work on trying the super B Thia and Ben, Mag.

      Hi all I’ve been celiac for 4 years now, I’ve done pretty well to avoid it thus far. Last night I took the wrong pizza out of the freezer and ate the whole lot!! The non gluten and gluten pizza boxes are both very similar.   2 hours later I was throwing up violently on my hands and knees over the loo.  .horrendous stomach pains,  My hair was wet from sweat every part of my body was wet. What an awful experience, just had a bad headache today  fortunately.    Is their any products/pills anyone takes if they have realised they have just been glutened to make the symptoms a little less worse.  thanks
