Yesterday I ate gluten-free Progresso soup for lunch, fresh venison steak and Mcain Smiles french fries for Dinner with a drink of DeSarono. Then a hand full of Dark M & M's at 11:00 today, I started with the cramps and DH!!! Any thoughts on what could have caused this, this time??? Latley it seems no matter what I do, I am getting randomly "glutened" Help

Have you noticed more problems when you eat foods containing dairy or soy? Those can also cause problems for some. Iodine can cause a Dh reaction.

Yeah, I use Lactose free milk or use a lactaid when I eat something with dairy in it. I am getting a little frustrated! It's been two years now, and still haven't got it all figured out yet. But the more I talk with people, the more I learn

thanks!

I would suggest that you remove all processed foods temporarily. Go on a whole foods only diet until symptoms go away. Then add foods one at a time, one per week. That way you will be able to find out which foods you can eat, and which foods bother you. I am very sensitive and have had to cut out most processed foods. It sounds like you will be able to eat many more than that, but this is the best way to figure it out.

Yes, @trents is right, ascorbic acid can be irritating.  Do you take it with food? Do you take other supplements or vitamins? Do you eat processed meats?   Is your diet high in carbohydrates?

Be careful with C supplementation. It's ascorbic "acid". Too much can cause stomach and gut irritation.
