My Aunt was asking me about this for herself and I've never heard of it. Just wondering if anyone has had experiance with them and if they're legit?

DON’T USE THIS COMPANY – RIPOFF and absolutely no customer service. They are not a lab, they are just a broker to Quest Labs.  I ordered lab tests from them and they came back completely erroneous. You can’t contact Accesa Labs directly – only by email.  I wrote them and they sent me back to the lab to get the tests done again.  Wasting another hour was a complete inconvenience for me.  My doctor told me that those test came back erroneous as well.  My doctor said I would be dead if the test results were correct.  So once again I email Accesa Labs.   This time instead of dealing with the customer problem, they tell me there is nothing that they can do and to contact Quest Labs directly.  When I emailed them and asked why they weren’t going to deal with Quest as I was paying Accesa for the services, they wrote me that there was nothing they would do.  I then disputed the invoice amount with my credit card and Accesa disputed it back 2 times by lying and telling the credit card company that I received good lab results.  To this day after 4 months I don’t have my money back and Accesa ripped me off.  Don’t use this phony lab broker…

Sorry you had a bad experience with this company.  I am from the old school that most labs should be ordered by a medical doctor, but so many of our members do not have access to good doctors who are celiac savvy.   Just curious.   What tests were ordered?  Why would your doctor say you would be dead if the test results were correct?  What were the results?

That's strange...  I've used Accesa Labs a few times and have always had a great experience with them.  The phone number is right at the top of the website if you need to call them although they don't have 24/7 phone service. I ordered their celiac panel because my doctor told me that my insurance didn't cover the test, got the lab order immediately, and got results 3 days after I went to the lab.  Quest is one of the biggest labs in the world so I'm assuming their results are as accurate as any lab testing company out there. I did test positive on this test but I'm trying some things out in my diet and will repost after I get retested.

Does anyone have experience with the Alcat test? I'm thinking about trying that one out at some point

The lab seems legit, and my doctor has used Quest Labs.  I would not worry about EnterpriseGuru's posting.   He did not ever come back to respond to my questions.  Perhaps, the issue had nothing to do with celiac disease.  Anyway, the other test?  There is some dispute about the accuracy of allergy testing for foods via blood.  If you have the cash, go for it.  Otherwise, most do well maintaining a food/symptom journal.

With positive celiac results, what does your doctor recommend?  Will you go forward with an endoscopy?  Will your insurance cover that?

I'm still waiting for an appointment to see my doctor. Seems much harder to get in these days. I'll post back after I do!

No, Life Extension contains Benfotiamine and Thiamine Hydrochloride. Objective Nutrients Thiamax contains TTFD.     I take both of these and a B Complex.

what Benfotiamine should I take as Life Extension contains both Ben and TTFD.

I take both Benfotiamine and TTFD.   You might want to start with the Benfotiamine for a few days and then add in the TTFD.   You can look for NeuroMag (Magnesium Threonate).  A magnesium glycinate is fine, too.  Doctor's Best is a good brand.  Don't take more than 300mg total per day of magnesium or it may have a laxative effect.   Be sure to take the B Complex.  The Benfotiamine and TTFD will need the other B vitamins.

Life Extension Benfotiamine with Thiamine has 100MG of Ben and 25 of Thia..... Do you think this is the one I should take or Objective Nutrients Thiamax (TTFD) which has 100MG Thiamine. How much magnesium should I look for? I take the womens 50+ multivitamin since consumerlabs stated and tested that it has the right amount of vitamins and not too much for men and doesn't have BHT which has shown to cause liver cancer in animals. I was never big with multivitamins as well as doctors I just read when I was first going gluten free to take a multi but I think I will stop them and work on trying the super B Thia and Ben, Mag.

Hi all I’ve been celiac for 4 years now, I’ve done pretty well to avoid it thus far. Last night I took the wrong pizza out of the freezer and ate the whole lot!! The non gluten and gluten pizza boxes are both very similar.   2 hours later I was throwing up violently on my hands and knees over the loo.  .horrendous stomach pains,  My hair was wet from sweat every part of my body was wet. What an awful experience, just had a bad headache today  fortunately.    Is their any products/pills anyone takes if they have realised they have just been glutened to make the symptoms a little less worse.  thanks
