Commandments Of gluten-free Eating Out

Mods- feel free to move this if it's in the wrong place.

I was posting on a PF Changs thread and thought, we should have the commandments of eating out - restaurant or others house.

Thou shall order the gluten free dessert.

Thous shalt calleth the restaraunt before hand to confirmeth gluten free option, or consulteth thy restataruants webeth site for additional info-eth.

Thyroid cyst and nodules, Lactose / casein intolerant. Diet positive, gene test pos, symptoms confirmed by Dr-head. My current bad list is: gluten, dairy, sulfites, coffee (the devil's brew), tea, Bug's Bunnies carrots, garbanzo beans of pain, soy- no joy, terrible turnips, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, eggplant, celery, strawberries, pistachios, and hard work. If thy waitress with the dazed look assures you that something is Gluten free, thou shalt ask her if she is willing to bet thy's life on that info and is willing to stick thine leg with an EPI pen if she is wrongeth.

October 2012- I learned that I am 1/2 Irish with a strong family history of Gluten Intolerance/Celiacs. I will never know If I am Celiac because I will never eat gluten again in order to test postive, it's poison and I do not ever want to feel the way I felt before implementing the gluten free diet EVER again!!!

Thou shalt provide managers with praise if waitstaff and cooks deliver a safe, well-prepared meal for thee the first time because they actually understand.

Thou shalt ask if the fries and or chips are fried in the same oil with other breaded items. Thou shalt assure thy fast food worker they will not get into trouble if they tell you the truth before hand despite the restaurant's policy that the fries are "supposed to be" made in separate fryers.

LOL! Thou shalt not kiss thy non-gluten free significant other after the meal. They shalt undergo a purification ritual of teeth brushing first. Else they be uncleanth and shall contaminate you with their gluteny uncleaness.
