No I don't know if this is true, but I sure would like to know for sure since I seem to have intolerance to casein having been tested for lactose intolerance and that was negative. Where did you see this and could you quote any of the information?

Most interested to learn more, I will do some research myself.

I would be interested too if anyone has any info to read up on.

Now that I am I think, doing all the right stuff and eating gluten free when ever I try dairy I have symptoms, that back then I used to attribute to the gluten, the body aches etc.....maybe some of those were dairy symptoms.

Yes, if you check the medical literature, casein induced enteropathy IS a real thing. But it is rare - far far more rare than celiac disease.

So even if it's rare it can still be an actuality for some people, maybe myself, who knows.

Do you still have trouble eating chocolate? The only time that I've not had a problem with it is when eating a chocolate cake made in a gluten-free bakery, and that is day after day, otherwise any other chocolate, no matter how well made or dairy-free still affects me.

Welcome to the forum, @yellowstone! The most common ones seem to be dairy (casein), oats, eggs, soy and corn. "Formed" meat products (because of the "meat glue" used to hold their shape) is a problem for some. But it can be almost anything on an individual basis as your sensitivity to rice proves, since rice is uncommonly a "cross reactor" for celiacs. Some celiacs seem to not do well with any cereal grains.

What foods can trigger a response in people with gluten sensitivity? I've read that there are foods that, although they don't contain gluten, can cause problems for people with gluten sensitivity because they contain proteins similar to gluten that trigger a response in the body. I've seen that other cereals are included: corn, rice... also chicken, casein. I would like to know what other foods can cause this reaction, and if you have more information on the subject, I would like to know about it. Right now, I react very badly to rice and corn. Thank you.
