Hi,

I'm taking the plunge and will be buying some Kinnikinni (sp) online. I've read that their chocolate donuts are great - what about their bagels? My GI doc said to have some cream cheese on rice cakes - I would have laughed long and hard if I hadn't been on the table waiting for my colonoscopy. Rice cakes - you have GOT to be kidding :o Anyways, what about bread? I saw that there is two kinds of white rice bread by them and don't know which one to order.

Anything else from them that is a must have?

Ann

I like the chocolate glazed donuts but don't care much for the all chocolate ones.

I also love the rolls that they have..the taste so good.

We get the tapioca rice bread. My kids all like it. I like it. My youngest son used to love the chocolate glazed donuts, but has recently told me his new favorite is the chocolate dipped donuts. My two older kids prefer the chocolate glazed, so it's all good. My older son likes the brown rice bread better than the white tapioca. I get the flax seed for myself. I don't prefer it, but I feel healthier eating it! The plain bagels are my favorite. You need to toast them, though, whereas the breads are all fine just barely toasted. The bagels are only four to a bag, so they're pricey. But the bagels are great toasted, with whatever on them. I usually have bacon and eggs on them like a breakfast sandwich. Pizza crusts from Kinnikinnick are great too. If you can't spell kinnikinnick *as I saw above in your post!!! You can get to them by some other name that I can't remember right now, sorry. It's something like goglutenfree.com or something like that.... Let me know if you like their products!

Hello, I was very stick,  with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel.  Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change?  What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?

Eating out in general is full of risks, but this article may help:

This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to being "safe".

I don't live in the US, but based on this thread, I wouldn't risk it:   https://www.reddit.com/r/glutenfree/comments/1n2ehw8/cracker_barrel/   This app is helpful: https://www.findmeglutenfree.com/

I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
