Creams, Shampoos Etc

gluten free overseas

Recommended Posts

gluten free overseas Apprentice

I'm new to the gluten free life and am living overseas. I can't call all these manufacturers long distance from overseas, so I need some help.

Although I don't have a major issue with skin problems, I did develop a small rash in between my fingers two weeks ago. Today, I looked at my face cream... what do you know, it has wheat in it. I thought I'd checked it before, I guess I overlooked it.

What creams, shampoo, etc do you use? Is Johnson and Johnson safe? Is Dove shampoo safe? We can get those here (I'm living in Malaysia--it's right above Singapore).

I'm going back to the States this summer, so I can stock up on something there too.

I believe Dove will clearly list gluten ingredients as will Suave at least here in the states don't know if it is different where you are. I use Garneir products they will also clearly list. You may also want to ask this question in the international section of the board and see if you can get some advice from folks in the area your in.

Thanks. If it gets on me or my kids fingers it might get in our mouths. Especially the kids.

Thank you. I must have misinterpreted a study or something. Thank you for the clarification. Much appreciated. Almost three years into my celiac diagnosis and I'm still learning new things.

I wasn’t clear, glucagon and gadolinium were intravenous. I drank about 5 cups of the prep during 45 minutes. I feel very tired now, probably partly because I was nervous, and partly because I had to fast for 6 hours beforehand and wasn’t very hungry when I got home.

That seems at lot of solution to have put threw you when you already have bowel issues , I will phone them tomorrow because it's sorbitol I have reactions too, thankyou for the input how do you feel now ? I'm not sure I can keep still for that long with my back issues either unfortunately I didn't know it could take that long 😕

The solution I had to drink contained sorbitol and mannitol. I was in the MRI, lying on my back, for about 40 minutes. I was given glucagon partway through, and a gadolinium contrast agent. After I got home there was some diarrhea from the prep solution.
