I don't know what to think...this is the sickest I've been in a long time and I have no idea what is doing it to me. I've been getting progressivly worse for the last week and nothing is sticking out in my mind as containing the "evil" substance. The only thing I can think of that I have done differently is I've used a different toothpaste. I don't have the box anymore so I don't know what is in it.....I guess I just assumed it was gluten-free. Has anyone heard of toothpaste containing gluten?

Toothpaste could have gluten in it, but the major brands like colgate and crest are gluten-free.

Sensodyne is the only toothpaste I have found that may be contaminated with gluten. Perhaps it's a bug, not gluten?

Have you checked your other products like lipsticks and other cosmetics, shampoos, soaps, lotions, and all that stuff. Try to figure out what could be causing a reaction...if no chance of gluten then maybe you have a bug you are fighting.

As for toothpaste, most are gluten free(like the major brands..I know Crest and Colgate are)

And for Crest, that does mean all its varieties are gluten-free...

Thanks for your help guys! It's a crest toothpaste so I guess it's not that. I'm feeling a lot better today than I did yesterday! Most of my cosmetics are gluten-free. I have a leave in conditioner that contains gluten. I wash my hands after using it though and it hasn't given me any trouble that I know of. I'd hate to give it up....I LOVE that stuff! I'm glad about the toothpaste though I'd hate giving up brushing my teeth even more... :lol:

Healing the Villi means gluten-free in all products including the products we use on our bodies as they are absorbed through the skin. Sorry to be the bearer of bad knews. :(

They will not be absorbed into the skin. Gluten is too large to fit through the skin. If there is an open cut or something then you need to worry.

I use all gluten-free products because the risk of them getting into my mouth someway is pretty much inevitable.

      New labs are now very elevated

      Hello, I was very stick, with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel. Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change? What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?...

One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to...

      I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
