So it's been a few months since my blood test and i've been eating white bread products and having no issues. So today I figured what they hey and ate some 5 grain cereal with with rye and barley in it and also a sandwhich made with 15 grain whole wheat bread. I have such bad gas and my stomach is cramping now. Only oddity on my bloodwork that was 11 which was equivocal. >11 was negative. I don't know what too think but its def crazy. Anyone have a reaction only when they eat the grains themselves and not by products?

It may have been alot of more fiber than the white bread you were eating. Suddenly adding extra fiber can give you gas.

Ain't life grand?

Or the white bread is more processed, and some of the gluten is destroyed.

I could buy this. There was about a 5 year period of time where my health was in decline but some of my symptoms came back off and on. Looking back now, my worst health was during times when I was trying to eat "healthy" by adding more whole grain products such as whole wheat pasta, pearled barley and multigrain bread. For a while I was actually adding wheat germ to my oatmeal because I thought it would make me healthier! I never felt so sick as when I was eating a "whole grain" diet and even now I cringe when I see commercials touting their products as healthier because they contain whole grains (usually menaing whole wheat).

This exact thing happened to me too. Back when whole wheat was the big health kick I just overloaded with it... have never felt so bad in my life. It has always made me wonder if doing that didn't push me over the edge into complete Celiac-dom.

Interestingly enough, I too used to be able to eat really white/processed bread, but haven't risked it in a few years.

"Conclusions: The urinary iodine level was significantly lower in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis, and iodine replacement may be important in preventing osteoporosis"  Body iodine status in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis Low iodine can cause thyroid problems, but Iodine deficiency will not show up in thyroid tests.  Iodine is important for healing, its job is to kill off defective and aging cells (Apoptosis). Skin, brain fog, nails, muscle tone all inproved when I started taking 600 mcg (RDA 150 - 1000 mcg) of Liquid Iodine drops. Some with dermatitis herpetiformis, Iodine exacerbates the rash.  I started at 1 drop (50 mcg) and worked up to 12 drops, but I don't have dermatitis herpetiformis.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I found myself giggling with happiness as I read how your body reached such spring! And I hope that your current journey is also successful!! Definitely starting the food diary! So many amazing advices. And it’s very scary. It really hits all our soft spots as well as our confidence system. Most doctors I went thought I was underage despite being in my late 20s. Right now I look like am I twelve, but is also this body that’s taking so much, so I might as well love it too! Going to make the necessary changes and stay in this path. Thank you again! 🫶

Thank you so much for the information and kind message! Reading this transformed how I’ve been viewing my efforts and progress. Guess there’s still a lot to celebrate and also heal 😌  Yes, I’ve been taking it! Just recently started taking a multivitamin supplement and separated vitamin D! I also took chewable Iron polymaltose for ferritin deficiency 2 months ago but was unable to absorb any of it.  Thank you again! Hearing such gentle words from the community makes my body and heart more patient and excited for the future.
