Hi Everyone.

I am hoping you can help?

I emigrated from the UK to Canada and fell ill 9 months after arriving. It has taken nearly 4 years for Doctors to figure out that I have become highly allergic to Corn and Soy (and it's all derivatives of corn, not just the protein). I am unable to take on board gluten too.

My brother is flying over from the UK in a couple of days to visit and I was wondering if you can let me know of any good gluten, corn and soy free foods that I can ask him to bring over, as here, foods without these products are a nightmare to find!!

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Anita.

Sainsbury's do a Free From range, as do Tesco, Dunnes Stores and Asda, this range is gluten free and i think would be suitable for you.

DS white ciabatti rolls are really good. Stocked in most supermarkets 'free from' section.

Any health food shops like Holland & Barretts, Sainsbury, M&S will be able to advice there are also a few online places that sell, gluten free products.

Be careful with supermarket own brand free from foods from Sainsbury's, etc. They have cross contamination issues not listed on their labels.

I eat a lot of dairy but its intermittent is this burning so I would assume it would happen all the time. Plus I have been tested for lactose intolerance  etc and I am fine and the other symptoms of that I don't get. As a aside  my dad died last month after a long illness so I wonder if the stress of that might be a influence as a bodily reaction to stress.

You should be fine.  You may start feeling better within a few days.  Someone who is very low in thiamine may notice improvement within hours.   Did you get the NeuroMag  or another magnesium supplement?

Yes Bobs redmill cgf oatmeal I started when I became gluten-free. So taking all 3 with breakfast should work? Will I notice any reactions getting used to these or should I be fine. Thanks

Hello, @pilber309, welcome to the forum! Are you currently consuming dairy?   You mentioned something about lots of yogurt and cheese, but did you cut it out or are you eating lots of it?   Could you clarify please? Some people with Celiac react to casein, the protein in dairy the same as to gluten with antibodies and villi damage.
