Weird Symptoms

These are my latest symptoms for the last 2-3 months. My skin is itchy but not as much as before going gluten free. I had been itch free for 2 years but there is something new going on. My skin is also painful to touch and sometimes light itching hurts me. And my neck is darkening mostly on the sides and it is NOT due TO SUN.

With that I have had very low energy levels but I have done a few things to help me with that. I do tend to sleep late and melatonine helped a bit but I don't start work early so that's maybe another reason I am staying up late.

I have seen a doctor a few weeks ago for another condition and didn't bother talking about this. Maybe when I go see him for my results I will do it.

I self diagnosed myself with adrenal fatigue but honestly I don't know what the painful skin means? Should I think of fibromyalgia?

Anyway, I am going to have hormones and hair analysis tests. My next step is to flush toxins and find the best wayS to tackle that.

I would appreciate if anybody could tell me about the experience with infrared sauna, ionic foot bath and other methods of eliminating toxins.

I would suggest that you speak to your doctor right away about getting tested for Addison's Disease, an endocrine disorder. You've described some of the common symptoms, including hyperpigmentation. This can be a serious condition, so please seek medical advice very soon.

Believe me this was my first guess when I first checked my symptoms online and that's why I have been taking liqorice root every morning and my energy is better. But not having all the symptoms and also the lack of a good doctor stopped me to look for medical advice. I have been self medicated myself with vit B and C and liquorice root.

I may be acting like a fool here but I wish I could find a doctor I trust. At least in the US when you use your money you have access to good doctors.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Are you assigned a doctor, and then you're unable to make a change where you live? Can you ask for a referral to an endocrinologist? If you've researched this possibility, then you also know how dangerous it can be to just let it go without medication. I believe in using natural means to treat my maladies before resorting to allopathic means, but sometimes there really is no choice--please see ANY doctor (even a bad one) to be tested for Addison's.

Thank you. You're right sometimes we dont have a choice but to get tested. I will visit my walking clinic doctor this week.

Do you know what tests I should be doing? When I asked my doctor to get me tested for celiac 3 years ago, I was sent to the lab with an incomplete panel. I wouldn't like this to happen. I also have an appointment to have saliva hormone testing at a naturopathic clinic.

Thankyou for that information yes I totally relate to that it's a very good read and I've felt like that too to the point were going out for dinner was aniexty before I even left home and it's funny her name is jean because that was my grandma's name and I also  believe she  coeliac undiagnosed because I look back now and she couldn't tolerate most things like me unfortunately she got bowel cancer it's such a shame it's so unrecognised by the medical profession and by people too who do t suffer it because it can be very hard living with it so thankyou so much for this

Ichthus is the Greek word (using English letters) for fish. The letters in the actual Greek word form an acronym that come from the first letters in the Greek words for "Jesus", "God's Son," "Savior".   Now, back to your family's denial of your celiac disease, I think you can relate to this:

Thanks for the kind words. It's hard to convince my doctor to investigate further because of a negative blood test and he only tested me for one marker. 🙃 I've come to the point where I need to take this into my own hands because the doctors are infuriating and it's not going anywhere. I've been gluten free for a week and feeling better but I was still consuming dairy and I think that's what's backing me up. Next week no dairy introduced.
