Hey all! Long time stalker (and sufferer), first time poster. I'm a thirty year old from Louisville, KY. My back story?

I have been dealing off and on with vague stomach pains for the past three years since I had an open Nissen fundo. Then last March I polished off three boxes of girl scout cookies and ended up in the ER with pancreatitis. They couldn't figure out why, the amount wasn't the problem. There were no obvious reasons why (structurally) that should have happened. I went gluten-free right after that and was totally fine. My gastro insisted on doing an ercp to check for damage (even though I insisted I was ok on the gluten-free diet), and I got a raging case of pancreatitis from that (like liver functions over 1000, in the hospital for two weeks kind of raging). He said no permanent damage...Yay! So my ost recent trip to the ER was for eating something my husband bought, which I thought was gluten-free....it was not!!!! They did a cat scan which showed excess fluid in the lumen, but that was resolving. Continuing on my gluten-free diet, I am slowly getting better after this insult. BTW, I am also allergic to egg and soy, which makes the diet difficult. Anyone with experience with all the allergies PLEASE pm me! I would love to chat with you.       As far as I know and I have made severalonline searches, celiac disease disease has not been recognized as a cause of migraines or any eye problems. What I wrote must have been confusing.

      Interesting, when I suffered for a few months with ectopics I noticed that carbohydrates would cause indigestion and bloating in my stomach, then that would lead to my heart skipping beats, and I could feel it in my throat, it was very unsettling.  My last serious bout of this was after eating a Muller Rice Pudding for breakfast.   I happened to be wearing a 48 hour halter at the time and cardiology picked it up, but they weren't worried about what they saw. There was some British doctor who'd made some videos on the Vagus nerve that I remember watching at the time which made sense of what I was experiencing, there did seem to be some sort of connection.

      I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

      Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.
