Hello everybody! I am a 30 year old female that would love some advice/help!

I've recently been tested for Celiac and as of yesterday my dr said my results came back negative. My test results were:

IgG - 1004 (The normal range was displayed as 700-1600)

IgA - 327 (The normal range was displayed as 70-400)

My symptoms seemed to have worsened when I get pregant and post-partum even worse. I elimated red meat from my diet thinking it was that but still had issues with diarrhea and stomach pain. Here are my current symtoms:

diarrhea: sometimes multiple times a day (I think my record is 8 times in 4 hours)

lower stomach pain and somtimes lower back pain (like if you drew a line thru my stomach pain, thats where my back pain is)

with stomach pain you can hear my body doing something...lots of gurling and noise

bloating to the effect of looking 4 months pregnant until I've made made several BM's with letting out gas as well

headaches (I've had headaches since 15 years old. Usually 5 out of 7 days; no known cause. I've had my eyes recently checked and my vision as still the same,so no eye strain)

Fatigue - I'm always tired. No energy what so ever.

My fingers tend to go numb - I was seen by a neurolgist and no problems were found with my nerves.

I also have Raynuads (basically poor circulation in fingers, toes and butt cheeks)

I seem to have 1 good day where I feel ok. This is generally a day that I won't make a BM at all. Then that good day is followed by 2-3 days of stomach pain and loose stools.

I'm looking forward to anyone's input, information and advice. Please feel free to ask me any questions if it helps you help me! I'm not shy!

Your posted results do not souond like normal celiac testing. If anything, they sound like the measurement of your total serum IgA and IgG levels and would seem to indicate that you make normal quantities of both. The celiac testing panel normally consists of:

Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgA

Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgG

Anti-Endomysial (EMA) IgA

Anti-Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA

Deamidated Gliadin Peptide (DGP) IgA and IgG

Total Serum IgA

It appears that the only test out of this panel that was run was the last, which is the control test for the other IgA tests. Not all doctors run all tests, but your doctor needs to have ordered at least one of the other tets and preferably several, including the DGP. All the results will give ranges of Less than > (negative), from x to y (equivocal) and greater than < (positive). I would talk to your doctor and clarify what testing was done.

A new test result appeared on my online patient management website. This one says:

Component: TTG IgA Ab

Your Value: <4.0

Standard Range: <=3.9

Units: u/ml

Any idea how to read this?

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
