Revlon Makeup?

I have veryyy pale/fair skin and it's hard for me to find makeup I can wear. I found one powder from Revlon that is light enough for my skin, and it is literally the ONLY one except the $50 ones I can't afford. Does anyone know if Revlon is gluten free?

Does anyone else have really fair, I mean REALLY fair skin that uses a fairly inexpensive makeup that matches their skin? All the other kinds make me look orange or just are too dark!

Also, if something is processed on shared lines that they clean, I wouldn't eat it. but if it's just makeup do you think that it would be relatively safe, or are you as careful with makeup as you are with food??

Thanks. :)

E.l.f. Makeup is supposedly gluten-free and available @ Target. They process it on shared equipment but I'll give it a whirl.

I use Bare Minerals. I'm very light as well and it works well with my skin tone. It's more expensive than Revlon but it lasts forever. I have a hard time with makeup matching too. I think you can buy at Target now but you can go by their stores in the mall or Sephora and get a sample first.

How much is it for a Bare Minerals face powder? Revlon is $11.

I think it's about 24 dollars--but it lasts FOREVER!!! Well worth it. You would want the fair--I'm a paleface too, so I understand the "just give me the lightest shade you have" routine. I bought a new tub of foundation about 6 weeks ago. That was when I thought I was running dangerously low. Guess I wasn't! I wouldn't be surprised if the previous tub had lasted 8+ months. Revlon can't beat that.

That's not a bad deal! Thanks, I'll check it out! I go through my Revlon one like every month and a half. So if this lasts forever id be do happy!

I second the part about mineral makeup lasting forever. It really does. And it's fabulous for light complexions. And it's cooler than liquids - doesnt feel like a mask.

hi, i want to say thank you to you and @trents   . after 2 phone calls to my GI, her office called me back to tell me that a blood test was “unnecessary” and that we should “follow the gold standard” and since my biopsy did not indicate celiac, to follow the no dairy and sucraid diet. i luckily have expendable income and made an appt for the labcorp blood test that day. i just got my results back and it indicates celiac disease i think 😭   im honestly happy bc now i KNOW and i can go gluten free. and i am SO MAD at this doctor for dismissing me for a simple blood test that wouldn’t have cost her anything !!!!!!!!!!! im sorry, im so emotional right now, i have been sick my whole life and never knew why, i feel so much better already   my results from labcorp:   Celiac Ab tTG TIgA w/Rflx Test Current Result and Flag Previous Result and Date Units Reference Interval t-Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA 01 28 High U/mL 0-3 Negative 0 - 3 Weak Positive 4 - 10 Positive >10 Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) has been identified as the endomysial antigen. Studies have demonstrated that endomysial IgA antibodies have over 99% specificity for gluten sensitive enteropathy. Immunoglobulin A, Qn, Serum 01 245 mg/dL 87-352

      Thank you this really helped.

Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong.   yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.

One doctor suggested it, but then seemed irritated when I asked follow-up questions. Oh well—

@GlorietaKaro, your respiratory reactions to gluten make me wonder if there might also be an allergic (anaphylaxis) component at work here.
