Problems With Cocoa Pebbles?

Hey Guys!

It's been a couple of months since I've been on. I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter who underwent biopsy mid-July for celiac disease. You guys were so helpful and supportive. I just wanted to thank everyone.

Kailyn's biopsy showed no evidence of celiac disease, dr is thinking maybe just wheat allergy. But she's doing amazing!!! since we started gluten-free diet. No more tummy aches, sleeps better, no more floating icky bm's (sorry, gross)!

Some of you told me that Cocoa and Fruity Pebbles by Post were gluten-free. She's done ok with fruity pebbles, but always get a tummy ache from cocoa pebbles. Post still says they're gluten-free though. Anyone else had problems with this cereal or other post products.

So let me hear from you, I want to hear from you....

Melissa

They are gluten free but maybe there is something else in there that does not agree with her. Post is a Kraft brand so I trust them.

I am personally fine with the products and have not had a problem so far with them. If they are not settling well with her then do not eat them.

Thanks for the reply. She's never shown any other problems or allergies (except lactose intolerance) but usally does ok with everything but actual milk. And it doing better with that since we've gone gluten-free.

I have switched her to EnvireKids cocoa cereal, which she likes. I was just curious.

And you guys were right, of course, after the first few weeks the gluten-free diet get a lot easier.

I'm eating Cocoa Pebbles all the time...haven't had any problems.

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.

Some interesting articles regarding the use of Zinc Carnosine to help heal gastric ulcers, gastritis and intestinal permeability. I would consult a medical professional about it's use. https://www.nature.com/articles/ncpgasthep0778 https://www.rupahealth.com/post/clinical-applications-of-zinc-carnosine---evidence-review https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7146259/ https://www.fallbrookmedicalcenter.com/zinc-l-carnosine-benefits-dosage-and-safety/

He is. Which makes everything even more difficult. I’m not a believer in “staying for the kids” but I have nowhere to go and it’s not just me, it’s me plus my babies. We live in a beautiful place, lots of land in the country and me and the kids love the place we’ve called home for their entire lives. But Im seeing that he’ll never change, that my kids deserve a happy healthy Momma, and that staying in this as is will be the early death of me. Then I look at the scars covering my entire body…this disease and the chronic stress I’ve been enduring for years that tell me I’m no longer beautiful and no one will ever look at me with interest again. I try self care, try to give myself grace so I can just start loving myself enough to gain strength but the slightest sparkle in my eye and skip in my step attracts his wrath and it all comes crashing ten fold. Life is just absolutely railing me from every single direction leaving me wanting to wave that white flag bc I don’t feel like there’s much hope no matter what happens.
