Celiac.com 04/23/2025 - For individuals with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, dining out can be a challenge. The risk of cross-contamination and the need for strict gluten-free preparation processes make it essential to carefully...

Thanks. My son has been on B2 for two to three years now. I found literature about B1 earlier and put him on a B1 supplement, but not thiamine tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide specifically. He also gets D and Magnesium. He goes to his doctor in June and I am going to ask for bloodwork to look for any deficiencies. What I suspect is that he is having a gluten...

I suggest you eliminate dairy from your son's diet next. Cow's milk protein, Casein, can trigger tTg IgA antibody production, the same as gluten, because casein contains segments of proteins that resemble gluten protein segments. I have ordered Domino’s pizza twice since diagnosis about 5 years ago. First time, I was OK. Second (and last) time, I was glutened badly. Never again! Cross-contamination is real - and I believe a serious problem with Domino’s.

For me, all three so called 'gluten free' pizza establishments, along with the dedicated equipment, are not true gluten free and I will react to very negatively and make me super sick. CPK gluten free crust contains Rice flour in it, while it currently meets the criteria with the FDA for 'gluten free' it is not per other science that shows that Celiacs also...

    Testing Help

Thank you both for your insights. I think I’ll have to repeat testing in a few months and have a longer period of gluten consumption.

GliadinX is such a product and many/some report it really helps. In the interest of disclosure, the company that produces it is one of our sponsors.

Occasionally eating out in restaurants means that there is potential cross contamination in spite of ordering a gluten free dish. What enzyme supplements can the forum recommend that would help with potential cross contamination? Something I could take before I start eating. I used to order Wheat Rescue from Microbiome lab, but it is not available anymore.

Hi  - Anyone have any experience with these? I bought them at Costco thinking they must be gluten-free, but now I see Natural Flavors and Spice in the ingredients. There's no Gluten Free labeling. However the Costco site and two other sites say it's gluten free. Anyone know?

Yes, I doubt you can find a perfectly safe restaurant--perhaps a dedicated gluten-free restaurant, but in general, very few of them exist, and they tend to be in larger cities. Super sensitive celiacs should probably just avoid eating out.
