  1. When I have eaten ANY amount of dairy or eggs, nothing seems to work. Otherwise, magnesium helps as well as just bouncing on a mini trampoline for about 10 minutes each day.
  2. I don't think that I can be on gluten for 6 weeks. I can't live in a hermit shell by myself for that long. (I guess I do have ups and downs when I am eating gluten!) But then that makes no sense either. I want to be diagnosed so that I can see that I am NOT crazy, but being gluten free is so hard. I mean, what is really hard is no gluten, dairy, eggs...
  3. Been dealing with digestive disorders for 12 years (since I was pregnant with daughter). Diary allergies longer but unknown. Candida problems. Low thyroid. I have been mostly gluten free for 4 years, but still problems. Recently went back to doctor. I alway thought I was celiac, but still having problems. Since I went back to doctor, found out about...
  4. Thank you. What type of herbs do you use? Besides my thyroid medication, it seems like all of the medications I have ever been on have caused more of a problem than any help. My daughter said that if I know that gluten was a problem then what does it matter what the test said. I have to go in to get a colonoscopy any way. Sometimes I just wish I had...
  5. Hello, I found this site about a year ago and really haven't been back until a few months ago. I don't think I ever introduced myself and I am not very saavy with message boards. I did post a few times but never even thought of introducing myself. So, here I am. Hello. I have just recently started going back to the doctor again after 4 or 5 years...
  6. It seems like all of us have more than one issue going on at once. I have been meaning to post something but have been putting it off. I get really confused with a lot of my issues sometimes, but I just had to respond to this thread. I have been dealing with problems for over 10 years now and have never been diagnosed with celiac but I KNOW there is a...
  7. OMG! I tend to forget some of the hell I went through with doctors, but this made me realize something. The first antidepressant I was on, I can't remember the name, completely took away my feelings for hunger. I would go all day without eating and finally I would have to eat something because I would pass out. I went back to the doctor and told him and...
  8. Yes, please be careful. During my period of jumping from doctor to doctor, they all decided to put me on antidepressants and each doctor thought they knew better, so I was on quite a few different drugs. It really does matter how long you have been on them in order to get off of them. I would not recommend doing this on your own. Your doctor should be...
  9. Walter, Either middle school or high school would be much easier to teach at with your problems. They are much more relaxed than elementary school and I beleive you are treated more as a professional. A lot of ESE self-contained classrooms have an instructional assistant. I taught middle school educable mentally handicapped students before and I only...
  10. Eating much healthier. Living much healther. Getting back to basics. Believing in myself. Cooking IS very enjoyable and brings me and my kids together. Getting rid of an abusive husband was much easier since he thought I was a hypochondriac!
  11. Yes, Jordan Rubin knows a lot about digestive disorders! The only problem is that he uses a lot of barley in his supplements. I wish that he would go completely gluten free! I would spend the extra money on his supplements. I use a few and they are great!
  12. I get serious gas and constipation from gluten. I also don't tolerate many carbohydrates or legumes either very well. I just recently learned that when you eat something that causes an alergic reaction, you can have inflamation in the intestines and that can cause constipation. Anyway, to get myself back on track I eat the following chicken soup recipe...
  13. Oh, and I have done MANY stupid things. I had been taking a supplement for over a week and not knowing why I was reacting to everything, when I finally looked at the label and there it was on the label, gluten. How could I spend hours reading labels at a health food store and buy something that was so obviously labeled with gluten.
  14. I found a rice pasta at the health food store that tastes just like regular pasta. It is so good that it is the only kind of pasta I buy from now on. It's called Tinkyada (www.tinkyada.com) and it's made in a designated factory. No one can tell it's rice pasta. I know it costs a little more than regular, but the piece of mind is definitely worth it.
