  1. They are soy free. I'm soy allergic (this is new and I'm still grumpy) and I can still eat them just fine. And I just checked the ingredients on the bags in my freezer to double check. They are gluten-free/CF/SF.
  2. Wow. I am *so* impressed you do that. But then again, people seem impressed by gluten-free living, and if I look back and realize I had no real life at all, it doesn't seem like as much a "sacrifice". Maybe you feel the same about corn? I keep making mistakes w/ soy, though. I'm not used to the new label reading, and I keep buying stuff i can...
  3. From Imagine Foods' webpage: Soy Free Products: The following varieties only: Organic Creamy Butternut Squash Organic Creamy Potato Leek Organic Creamy Tomato Organic No-Chicken Broth Organic Vegetable Broth Organic Free Range Chicken Broth Organic Creamy Sweet Potato Soup Organic Creamy Chicken Soup Organic Chicken...
  4. I haven't tried them (yet!) but I looked at www.Lame Advertisement.com and their testing looks good and useful. And affordable. Hope that helped! Shalia
  5. Yeah, I'd just made a giant pot of chicken soup two days before I figured this out, and I had to throw it all away because the broth had soy in it. What a waste. I'd ask about the cookies, but I truly detest all nuts. But thank you!
  6. That's it. Thank you. I forgot to bookmark it and I couldn't find it again.
  7. Hey, I'm a gluten/soy free college student with no time too. We could at least commiserate together. I found a website, www.allergenfreegrocer.com I think, and it let you search for foods by what allergens you were avoiding. You could probably find some stuff on there. Good luck! Shalia
  8. Well, think about it this way. It's *highly* unlikely that someone wakes up one morning with an intestine damaged to the point that it's readily apparent. It's gotta take TIME to go from a perfectly normal intestine to a damaged intestine. So, even if they come back saying your intestines looked normal, remember your blood did not. And just *try*...
  9. Thanks! Their website says a store right near me carries their products, so I'm going to go check them out. I appreciate the suggestions. Shalia
  10. Wow, just looked at your list. What ARE you eating? It'd be easier to list your "can" foods than your "can't"!!
  11. Cool, thanks. I'll go look them up now. I'll get over the poutyness if it makes me feel better. I'm good about that eventually. Shalia
  12. Yeah, and we'd just bought tuna, too. Now I have 6 cans of useless tuna. I need mayo and butter suggestions. Thanks for the heads up! Great! Thanks for the heads up. I was wanting mayo! Cool, I have some grapeseed oil. I'll give that a try. Thanks!
  13. Thanks for the article, Andrea. Useful and helpful to read something. Shalia
  14. Yep, my nose gets stuffed up and my throat gets swollen up and it feels hard to breathe. Ick. I'm over mourning over gluten and that was only 2 months or so. I'll give soy time, and then I'm sure I'll be used to it.
  15. That's three votes for them, zero against. I guess I'll give them a try! It sure can't hurt. I'd rather that than continue w/ my throat feeling closed up and feelign hard to breathe like I am now. Shalia
  16. I've heard good things about Enjoy Life. I'll give them a try. Thanks for the suggestion. Thanks for welcoming me to the world. I'm just going to pout right now, though. (pretend that's a pout) I'll get over it soon enough. I did w/ gluten. Well, there's no whole foods in Utah, but there is a Wild Oats. Maybe they'll have something...
  17. *so far* dairy is still OK. The egg nog caused no problems at all. And that was both egg and milk. The cookies, however... Thanks for the empathy, I appreciate it! I've never even seen Green & Blacks. Where do I find THAT?
  18. I found plenty at my local store today, they were just the REALLY FAR BACK boxes. I hope you find some at Big Lots!
  19. OK, ever since going gluten-free, I've noticed my nose getting stuffy and my throat getting tight sometimes when I ate. I didn't know what was doing it, but it'd do it on even little things like Hershey's chocolate bars. So tonight I did a test. I drank some egg nog (that was soy free) and about 2 hours later ate a KinniToo cookie. NOTHING happened...
  20. Be careful on the rice milk. Rice Dream uses barley malt in their processing.
  21. OK, so that person who wondered a while ago why Dasani could be making her tummy hurt might be running afoul of this "gluten lite" thing? Since Dasani isn't on the list? Only the lemon type is? Bizarre. OK, the ones they listed (like my Diet Coke!) are OK, but everything else is off limits. I think I've got it.
  22. OK, someone posted on here (somewhere) that they wondered if the Barq's root beer made them sick. So I decided to contact Coke and find out what is gluten-free, since I'm a soda-aholic. And I got a CYA e-mail that has me all worried now. Can anyone tell me what, if anything, I can still drink? Thank you for contacting The Coca-Cola Company, Mrs....
  23. Google brings up no information for me. Are you sure it's spelled right?
  24. I didn't know that about them leeching calcium. That's a bit scary! *sniffles* But I *like* potatoes. Maybe I can make it a rare treat thing instead of a regular thing like it is now. It's scary what I don't know about nutrition. Makes sense on the corn, though. Thanks!
  25. I'm confused. So many of you say you are avoiding corn and potatoes. Aren't they vegetables, not grains? *lost* I need to get on the bandwagon and lose a LOT of weight. Sounds like you guys have a good way of doing it, I'd just like to do it *right*.
