NoGluGirl replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Dear Liz, I know how you feel. It sucks when you need treatment, but cannot afford it. I am in the same situation. I am trying to figure something out. My health is so bad, I cannot work. I barely can make it through a day at home. My business took a downturn due to being a victim of fraud, and now I am stuck with a -$99.70 in the bank... -

ARCHIVED Overwhelmed With Gluten Free Food & Prices
NoGluGirl replied to Disney323's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Dear Disney323, I know exactly how you feel. My parents have a lot of expenses, and when I went gluten free about six months ago, it was scary. We barely had money for food as it is. Really, it is not just gluten free food, but food in general that is expensive. To help you out, since I cannot afford to buy Glutino bars or Gluten... -

Dear Tritty, Really, it is tax deductible? How do you do this? My parents are having a hard time financially with this. Due to my other health issues that still need worked out, it would be good to know. I have not been able to work a regular job. I have been trying to start a company, but was recently defrauded. ARCHIVED Urgent - Any Friends Pls Help
NoGluGirl replied to gfp's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Dear gfp, I know what you mean about insensitive relatives. They could not care less if you get violently ill by even a microscopic amount of gluten. I am stuck living with my parents, and there are crumbs everywhere! Don't feel bad, you are not being paranoid. This is normal for people like us. Now, there is bound to be a way to fix it... -

Dear Claire, I am so sorry about your kitty! I had a miniature Schnauzer named Jasmine who died of congestive heart failure several years ago. I did not have the emotional strength to put her down. I know I should have, but she loved life so much, despite her suffering. No matter how sick she was, she always tried so hard to get back... -
ARCHIVED Phenergan Anyone?
NoGluGirl replied to blueeyedmanda's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Dear blueeyedmanda, Phenergan (or it's generic Promethazine) has been my saving grace when I get glutened. It does make you extremely drowsy, though. Honestly, it is the only thing that stops the dry heaves that make me feel like my sides are emploding. How you react to it is going to depend on your body, however. My brother hallucinated... -

Dear Rachel, Mold sucks. It is everywhere! You know what me and CarlaB found out on another thread? A guy posted that a lot of fresh fruits are sprayed with Candida Yeast! That would explain the gas I get and why my nose runs when I eat it. It never mattered which fruit. Also, you know how you had trouble with your veggies... -

NoGluGirl replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Dear Rachel and Carla, Will do with the posts! No prob! I hate healthy people, too. They whine and cry about stupid things. Boohoo I broke a nail! They should be grateful they do not feel like their arm is going to fall off! Dear Laura, Good luck with that IV! We are all pulling for you in Rachelville... -

NoGluGirl replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Dear CarlaB, I would be more than happy to shorten my posts for you! It took me forever to type that! I am a quick typest at 65 wpm, but my brain needs more time to think about what to say! LOL! Maybe I have Lymebrain too! I have to take frequent breaks as well when reading. I get double vision and stuff, which hinders my concentration... -
ARCHIVED Peanut Butter.... Any One.... Skippy..
NoGluGirl replied to zachsmom's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Dear BF, I am not sure where to find Nutella. I heard it is delicious. I miss the Chocolate Silk so much! I used to eat it with animal crackers! Of course, now I cannot eat those. No more pretzals either. I cannot afford the gluten free ones! Maybe someday! At least the Glutino pretzals are supposed to be good! Dear RiceGuy, ... -

Dear Andrea, Yep, arsenic is in the water. It is scary. We bathe in this stuff! Don't worry about asking me again. I won't mind. All you need to do is say the word! Getting back to arsenic, President Clinton had the maximum amount of arsenic allowed in water lowered, but President Bush raised it later. That sucked. The only safe... -
ARCHIVED Peanut Butter.... Any One.... Skippy..
NoGluGirl replied to zachsmom's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Dear Everyone, All Jif peanut butters are safe! They are actually made by Smucker's! I called about them a while back. This includes their Smooth Sensations! I am sad to report they no longer make the chocolate peanut butter, though! It was soooooo good! I grew up eating Jif, and was ecstatic to learn that it is safe! The low-fat version... -

NoGluGirl replied to Anteau25's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Dear Donna, That must be why my nose runs so much! I am terribly allergic to molds! Candida is also an issue with me! Who would have thought? This is scary. Sincerely, NoGluGirl -
ARCHIVED Starbucks Frappuccino
NoGluGirl replied to gaynonna's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Dear gaynonna, CarlaB is right. All Starbucks Frapps are gluten free with the exception of the ones with chips! Maltodextrin in the U.S. is corn derived, so we are safe there. It is such good news these are okay. I am a coffee lover, so it is important. Sincerely, ... -

Dear lonewolf, I am not sure where you live. However, I was poking around on Google and found this forum, Open Original Shared Link which talks about dentists who remove metal amalgams. I also found some good sites about the dangers of mercury toxicity. I will send those URLs to you in a future post if you want. Just say the word! The... -

NoGluGirl replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Dear Clark Bent as Stupor Man, First off, I have to say I love your name! LOL! Now, one thing you need to know is, mercury poisoning does not just lead to autism, it is involved in so much more. Alzheimer's, dementia, schizophrenia, and a number of other mental illnesses are linked to it. Many people are exposed to mercury by... -
ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
NoGluGirl replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Dear lonewolf, It is no problem at all! It is our pleasure! Helping each other is what we are here for! As far as mercury goes, even getting the fillings removed may not be enough. Tom Warren said this in his book. A number of his fillings he had for many years as you have. Fragments of these things can break off and imbed themselves... -
ARCHIVED Hershey's Cordial Cherry Kisses Gluten Free?
NoGluGirl replied to NoGluGirl's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Dear blueeyedmanda, Byteme, and lovegrove, I really appreciate your help. I was afraid to eat them! It is better to be safe than sorry! Yay! So, I can eat the miniature Dark Chocolate Bar, too! I knew anything with krispies were a no-go already. Stupid barley malt! Wahoo! Thank you so much! ... -
ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
NoGluGirl replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Dear lonewolf, To add to what Rachel posted, chelation must be done after amalgams are removed. Otherwise, it is still getting into your system. I would recommend two books about this. "It's All In Your Head" by Dr. Hal Huggins, DDS, and "Beating Alzheimer's" by Tom Warren. In these books, they speak of the dangers in our metal dental... -

Dear Rachel, Chlorine makes my eyes burn! I saw a chlorine filter for the shower on television not too long ago. I will go and look for it to find it again. I will let you know what it is called. It was not too expensive, either. It was only about $30 or so. Chlorine is also not good for your hair. You absort it through your skin and... -
ARCHIVED Hershey's Cordial Cherry Kisses Gluten Free?
NoGluGirl posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I was wondering if anyone knows if these are gluten free. I called Hershey, went to their Web site, and could not find anything. We have some, and since we got them in a gift bag, I do not have the ingredient list. This is so frustrating! Can anyone tell me if these are safe? Also, if I understand correctly, Hershey's miniatures are NOT safe. I would... -
ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
NoGluGirl replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Dear Rachel, If that is the case, then the Enterolab may not help much. I doubt antibodies would show up in my stool, since they did not show in my blood before. However, that was several years ago, and testing may have improved since then. I see my doctor soon, I will see what she says and go from there as far as disability goes. Here... -
ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
NoGluGirl replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Dear Rachel, My doctor was the one who told me that the antibody tests can be wrong! She is the one that gave me the idea to test gluten. She wanted to use Doctor's Data to test for Candida and Parasites. I had negative blood work before (in 2000) as well as a negative biopsy. Of course, mind you that those morons up at IU Med also missed...
