  1. Thanks I never really thought about her formula containing gluten. We have tried 3 different ones so far. I think I will not give her rice cereal for a long while the next time we start eating it will just be veggies and fruit. I do want to try and feed her mostly fresh foods that I make. When should we introduce wheat in her diet?
  2. My baby has had a hard time digesting anything. I tried rice cereal when she was 3.5 months and it made her very gassy and constipated so we stopped and waited for her to grow some. At 4.5 months the doctor said to mix fruit in with the rice cereal tried that and the same thing happened. She stopped sleeping for more than 3 hours at a time too! Then I...
  3. That is horrible! You must have been so scared I am so glad that she is doing better now.
  4. Well that doesn't look promising. Lots of Babies had both. I have been keeping a food journal but so far nothing seems to be consistant. I thought it was soy milk for awhile but when I drank it again this week she did fine with it. I guess we will know more about it when she starts eating solids. Anyone have celiac disease and then have a baby? Did...
  5. Thanks I was just hoping she would have a strong stomach and so far she hasn't at all. She gets diarrhea every 3 days and we don't know why. I eat gluten-free but I guess she is allergic to something else I am eating I just can't figure it out for the life of me. She is on Zantac right now but I don't see much of a change. She still wakes up choking and...
  6. My baby is just breastfeed right now but she has bad reflux. I know she is not getting any gluten and I know that this is totally different from Celiac. But...I am still worring about my baby. I just don't want her to be celiac too.
  7. I would get your doctor up to date with your celiac and just adhere to your diet. I think you should be fine and even better if you don't worry about it. Good luck and Congrats!
  8. wow it sounds neat if it could really work. My mom has a ton of allergies it would be awesome for her! I wonder if it works for people with really bad allergies. My husband is fatally allergic to peanuts. Even if he couldn't ever eat a peanut maybe it would give him more time to get to the hopital or something like that if he accidentaly ate one...
  9. I just read about this the other day. Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET) It is supposed to get rid of your allergies. I know celiac is not an allergy but I was looking around on line and some people say it has cured them of celiac. There is a dr. in my chiropracters office that does this. I might ask her next time I go in. I was...
  10. Congratulations! My doctor told me to eat two apples a day if I got c... And of course drink lots of water. Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy!
  11. Good luck twister! I am sorry you have to be on bed rest I think that would be the worst. I can't sit still for very long but at least you have good motivation! My recovery is going really well. It was hard to get in and out of bed for the first 10 days or so but now it is no problem. It is not as bad as I thought it would be at all. Anya just...
  12. Thanks! Just wondering how you guys can see her. I tried to change my avatar to her picture but I still just see my dog. So does it work on everyone's computer but mine I am just confused. But thanks, we are so much in love with her that it is just crazy. Our ped. is setting us up with a ped. gastro. That way we know the best way to introduce...
  13. Madelyn Grace was born August 18th at 11:15pm. She was 7lbs 6oz and 19 1/2 inches long. She is absolutly perfect. She was a week late and after 40 hours of labor I ended up having to have a c-section. She really didn't want to come. But recovery is going great and she is the love of our life! The only problem I had was getting a gluten-free...
  14. I will have to check to see what I take. Mine are chewable. Congrats on your pregnancy!

    Any Day Now

Our baby can come any day now. I think it will be sometime this week then again I don't think she will ever be born Last week we picked our pediatrictian. My husband is allergic to peanuts and I have celiac so I wanted a dr. that is familar with both. She said peanut allergies are not genetic. That was good to hear. He is very allergic and it is so...

    New To This

I have never done this before so I hope I am doing it right. I have been gluten-free since Janurary of 04 and I am beginning to become tired of this whole thing. I am 8 months pregnant right now I am actually due in 3 weeks so that probably has something to do with being tired of being gluten-free. I became really swollen and my dr. told me to watch my...

    ARCHIVED Anyone Ttc?

Anya, We started ttc after I was gluten-free for 6 months. It took us another 7 months to get pg and now the baby is due in 3 weeks. Here is what I have learned so far. Get used to eating gluten-free crackers and bread. I never ate any and then I had really bad morning sickness for the first 20 wks. I ate gluten-free bread and crackers but I think...
  19. Thanks those all sound so great!
  20. Zofran and Phenegran are the meds. I took I just couldn't remember the name. Phenegran really didn't work for me just for a couple of days and then I was sick. It did make me really sleepy so I had to time it out when I knew that I had to drive to work. Zofran worked much better and didn't make me tired at all. I was still sick but not as bad as I would...
  21. talk to your doctor and they should give you something. I know I took two different types because I was so sick both of the the dr. gave me. The phamacy should also let you know if the are gluten-free. I hope you feel better and congrats on your baby!
  22. Sorry to ask but what is dapsone and why do you have to take it?
  23. I know I can order plain food but that is what I eat at home. When I go out with a group I don't mind doing that usually I just get a salad. But if I go out with my dh then I want a good meal that I wouldn't make at home. That is the fun part about going out to eat.
  24. That sounds good is it just ice cream or cake too! My dh got me a clown cone from them once and he brought a gluten-free cone to them and explained that I couldn't have wheat. Well, they put a cookie on the bottom I didn't realize it until I took a bite.
  25. I love to eat at Joe's and I don't remember the last time that I went. Is there anything that we can eat at Joe's?
