  1. Why I am so much smaller than everyone else in my family. I used to have the worst stomach ache and my mom would give me dry toast and noodle soup. I would say it made me feel worse and she thought I was being difficult. Now we now why
  2. thanks those are great tips! I usally don't eat bread either but every trip I have been on we pack sandwiches for lunch. We eat out in the field so no microwaves and things like that. But the soups would work for dinners! I forgot about those. I forgot to mention that my husband is allergic to peanuts so that would be out for me if he decides to...
  3. mmm I love those! I used to eat those when I was preggo I forgot all about them I think I did 375 for 15 mins or so. (can't remember) But I know I would put it under the broiler for a minute or so and let the cheese brown some. Just a little hint taste more like restaurant pizza that way
  4. I have gone on several but not since being gluten-free. We are thinking of going to New Orleans in March to help with the re-building. I think I can do it but it will be hard. I could bring my own sandwich bread for lunches. Rice krispies for breakfast and dinner would be my biggest problem. That and eating on the way there and back. I really want to...
  5. To make a long story short my dh was taking to friends that know someone in Australia with Celiac. They said she went to a doctor and he is all knowing of Celiac and has a cure or something like that. She went thorough the treatment or took a pill (they don't know) but for the last 9 months she eats gluten and feels great. So is there a cure? The...
  6. Just wondering if anyone ever found out the cause for the grainy stools. Maddie has had them this week and the only new thing she has had the last few weeks is Milk and Dora the explore cereal. I was changing her grainy sandy diaper the other day and I was reminded of this thread so I thought I would check it.
  7. Hi I don't know your son's story but I just wanted to let you know what we did. Maddie couldn't tolerate milk or soy either and I was wondering what I was going to wean her to also. The doctor told me to give her a milk challenge when she was a year old. I did and she didn't do so well with the formula. So I tried regular milk and it was better. Then...

I usually eat the grilled caribbean salad it is so good!
  9. I would quit pumping if it is stressful for you but keep doing it if you still are able to without stress. I know it is a hard decision to make but you have done a great job! So congrats to that! I am glad to hear that Megan is growing so nicely! That is great for her to be on the charts. What is her length now? Has she grown there too?
  10. I think they parents have to be parents and make their child eat gluten-free. When child grows up and moves out and chooses not to that is their choice. But until then it is up to the parents to be parents of the child.
  11. wow I am surprised no one else has been to one. I think they are only in a few states right now. Just keep your eyes peeled because it is one neat store.
  12. I found it last week and it was great! Maddie loves it too
  13. All I can find is low fat lactose free organic milk she would need whole. I think Maddie may be lactose intolerant so I wanted to try that but I think it is important for her to drink organic milk (less hormones). Has anyone seen any?
  14. I don't know if there is a thread about Sprouts or not but here it goes. Last night we went to one and it is AWESOME! The coolest part is they have all of the gluten free foods labeled with red tags. So they are easy to find. They also have a booklet that list all the gluten-free foods in every area of the store. On top of all that they have fresh...
  15. oh I am sorry to hear that eleep. But good luck with quitting smoking. You can do it. I am with you guys too. I would never try gluten again. But I really do wish I could have a day. It makes since to when people say live like today is your last day and enjoy it. I wish I could go back and enjoy my last slice of Pizza or pasta and know that this...
  16. I know I have Celiac I had a whole list of problems that got better and I have been very faithful to my gluten-free diet for 3 years now. Saying that sometime I think maybe it was all a fluke. Maybe I can eat gluten and have no problem. Sometimes I just want to go to olive garden and eat a big bowl of pasta with breadsticks! Then see what happens ...
  17. That is so horrible. I hope his fever goes down and stays down you must be so scared. Praying for answers very quickly!!
  18. Thank you so much! Okay so I just looked at some stuff and read that Casien intolerance is just like Gluten you can never have it. I had the Entrolab done and came back gluten and casien intolerant. I cut Casien out pretty much of my diet but it has slowly been creeping back in. I thought if I cut it out completely that I would be able to have it once...
  19. Thanks no I am not pregnant something else is going on. I am going to cut out all dairy and see what happens. Last night for dinner I had grilled fish and a baked potato with just a tab bit of butter on it. About 10 mins. after eating my head felt dizzy and started spinning. Then I started to feel sick. This happens every time I eat no matter what I...
  20. Maybe she is bloated? I know I was very bloated and had a lot of water weight before I was diagnosed. I have heard of Celiacs being overweight before.
  21. My stomach has been hurting for the last few weeks. I have been nauseated just about all day long. I have no idea what is going on. I am gluten-free and have been for 3 years now. I don't drink milk or soy. I just can't pin point what is causing all of these problems. My dh keeps telling me to go to the doctor but when I did a few months ago he didn...
  22. That is great news! I hope she can eat soon.
  23. I don't think you should have any problems. My ob didn't know much about Celiac and sent me to a GI when I was first pg. He said after the first few risky weeks that I should be fine but really stressed to me to watch what I ate. He told me no eating out that any amount of Gluten could be harmful for the baby. I followed his instructions for about 6-...
  24. I am so sorry your family got so sick. The hospital you would think of all places should know what Gluten free is! I had a similar problem at our hospital when I had my baby. I was glad that I was released early because I had to send back all my meals about 3 times. It would take 3-4 hours before I got a meal and by then it was time for the next one....
  25. Sorry I will fill you in on the details... I have Celiac and so no gluten for a year was the doctors orders with Celiac being in the family we just weren't sure. Since day one Maddie has bad reflux and then at 5 months we found out she either had an intolerance or allergy to milk and soy and sweet potatoes. My dh is allergic to peanuts so with both...
