Did everyone enjoy/survive their weekend? We saw bEE-U-ti-FUL foliage in the mountains. Here are Open Original Shared Link what's new?
  2. These things are good to know and I am happy to see lynne back and Judy's pukey pumpkin (does the jack o'lantern have sprue?). I've been wondering about this topic myself as between celiac and lyme, I'm pretty snockered.
  3. Oh...happy news. My husband and I just returned from a weekend in Saratoga Springs, NY and as far as gluten-free goes saratoga has it down! My first dinner was at, ironically, a restaurant called Wheatfields on Broadway! It's an Italian restaurant that makes their own light, yummy gluten free pasta from corn. All their sauces are free of gluten and the...

  5. Ahh...madness in Psiilyville...methinks Queen Erica the Young is Siouxsie's younger sister!!!!!!!!! I love it- use em or lose em!!!!!!!! As my friend Vicky says, I am retarded (brain fuzz, brain fog, brain death?) Luckily me favorite dingo is forgiving and gives me kisses! All hail the Weezel! And OMG look at that...
  6. I agree with ShayFL- it cannot hurt to go gluten free (especially if you want to avoid all that testing!). Start by eating things you know you can tolerate- maybe some rice and gluten-free chicken broth- then add things in every 3 days and see how you do. Wanting hamburgers and nut butters seems like your body wants protein. If you can't tolerate nut butters...
  7. Weezee's getting paid too? YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to add another woof to the Psillies- we might need a kitten as our next addition (hint hint Psiouxsie!!!!!!!) 9. They do have curly, scary shroomy hair. They prefer Neutrogena shampoos. Ahhh...was listening to the classical station today and heard a commercial for Open Original Shared Link and thought of you guys- check out the turdometer!!!!!!!!!!! Do we need one in Psillyville?
  10. Oh,you poor thing- it sounds miserable (and unfortunately WAY too familiar). About two years after going gluten-free, I had my gallbladder removed because I was so nauseous and had two small stones. OK- thought that was it. Continued to get worse and finally was diagnosed with Lyme disease and 4 co-infections. MY ADVICE (opinion) would be to DEFINITELY...
  11. There you go!!!!!!!!!!!! And make them DROOL over it!!!!!!
  12. OMGawd- It was a DOOBAGE MASSACRE!! Much was smoked and is lost to those of us undoobaged. Must go get some scary, hairy shrooms just to keep up around here!!!!!!! Oh  Angus was crated his first night here. I slept on the floor, next to the crate with my hand inside petting him. He cried the whole night (me too ) Kept trying but never...
  13. Hummingbird- The first Thanksgiving is the worst. Most turkeys are gluten-free but not once you stuff them with bread stuffing. My MIL changed her turkey stuffing to the French Canadian meat stuffing IN the bird and the bread stuffing out. Could you talk to her and ask her not to stuff the turkey at all? Explain to her exactly what happens to you when you...
  14. Yay! A new Queen, HRH Erica the Young! And hotubs! And puppies, oh my!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The puppy smell <contentedsigh> Labs are crazy diggers. I had to make a garden over the hole that Kramer (the lab who lived here before us). Angus has some lab in him- he even buries his treats! I WANNA pet Sammy!!!!!!!!!!
  15. CVS is pretty good about it- still wish Provigil was gluten-free- I called last week and it's not. Argh!
  16. Tracy- You do NOT have to be thin to have celiac or gluten intolerance. That is a myth. You can have celiac and be underweight, normal weight or overweight. I would definitely ask to get tested along with your thyroid and ultrasound for your gall bladder. Even if it's any of those, you can continue to see your herbologist or combine traditional and herbology...
  17. Here's my new theme song Open Original Shared Link OK- embarassing fact: I took a quote from this song for my high school yearbook NO MORE PICC LINES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. Go Sophie!!!!!!!!! And the story of Al's eyebrows  Being a young uni-brower, I think I Nair'd off half of mine once but the fact that he laughed when you yelled "Where are your eyebrows?" is too cute!!!!!!!!
  20. Carla- That is AWESOME! I hope it's the answer. I want to hear all about it when you get back! Yes- stress makes my symptoms flare too! I had a problematic PICC line for the past month and didn't realzie how stressful it was! I was exhausted constantly (I'm sure the IV abx added to this). I found this article while looking for info on port catheters...
  21. I think you'll find a lot of us who, for different reasons, are intolerant of more than gluten. When I first went gluten-free three years ago, I couldn't tolerate dairy either. At all. About a year in, I discovered I couldn't tolerate legumes either (bye bye peanut butter Now I like sun butter better though!). In the last year or so, I can tolerate...
  22. Janet- That trip sounds SO cool!!!!!!! I hope that is WRONG!!!!!!!!! Judy  I went to the Topsfield fair and went to a party last night and played with 2 big old Bernese Mountain Dogs :D :D
  23. POOP IN time! I am enjoying having 2 arms for a change (and you guys want 3- ha!) New queen? Ooh ooh....perhaps we should elect a prince/princess like one of the pups or kitties in the thread. Queen Weezee? King Gus? An Uncle Ray for y'all: Five Surgeons are discussing the types of people they like to Operate on. The first surgeon...
  24. Ugh! Sorry to hear about this- and the manager should have been WAY more helpful. If they have a main/corporate office you should call and lodge a complaint. Especially since they have a gluten-free menu!
  25. No- I was distracted by my moderating duties Judy!!!!!!!!!!! Kurt and i are getting wild over jambalaya- an exciting night in Beverly  I'm actually thinking that while I have no odd devices in my body i want to go horseback riding but with my luck I'd end up getting thrown and breaking something. However, when this thread began 2 years...
