  3. Your girlfriend should not be eating corn pops. They began adding wheat to their ingredients begining january 1st of this year. There is however, the malt-o-meal brand of corn bursts (like corn pops) that are fine for her to eat. I would hate to have her getting sick because of a silly cereal. -Jessica
  4. Be careful when using things like Immodium to stop diarrhea. Diarrhea is your bodys way of getting rid of the toxins. If you put a stop to that with the immodium you are just keeping the toxic stuff inside for longer. I say let it run it's course, drink pleanty of fluids and get some rest. -Jessica
  5. One of the doctors at the National Institue of Health Conference on Celiac Disease last month said that to him an IBS diagnosis means "I Be Stumped"! ha I had to laugh at that one. SOOOO TRUE!! And it even came out of the mouth of a doctor!! -Jessica

  12. The chicken breast itself is actually gluten free and fine to eat. However on the salads they cut it up with the same knife they use to cut the crispy chicken which would result in cross contamination. So what you CAN do is ask them to put the chicken on your salad un-cut and cut it yourself. I have done that it is easy and they are happy to do that for you...

  15. The only gluten-free cough drops that I personally know of are halls sugar free varieties. They taste AWFUL!! Try sucking on an altoids instead peppermint helps coughs. -Jessica

  19. Thanks for sharing that. I have read that time and time again in my Special Education classes. I had forgotten about it though. I suppose it does sort of fit in with Celiac Disease also to an extent. -Jessica
  20. Well I am not a doctor, so not sure how they could confuse it. However research shows that is is one of the top things that are done before a proper diagnosis is made. It is a "red flag" that shouldn't be ignored. -Jessica
  21. Also a couple other signs of different nutritional problems can be: -white patches in your finger nails -fingernails that "curl" or "bend" as they grow.
