  1. Oh she definitely did it on purpose... I had the garden salad no croûtons and the pork tenderloin done in oil and rosemary....with seasoned broccoli (which tasted just steamed to me). It was sooo good...when I used to go there I got the pasta Alfredo. But not anymore. I was so happy that I managed not to eat the breadsticks.
  2. So I found a gluten-free bread recipe that I tried...well it didn't go too well...I just tried it and it was kinda like not done in the middle...yet the outside was on the verge of burning... does anyone have a homemade bread recipe that turns out good? along with their own flour mix? I don't really want to get an all purpose flour mix if I don't have...
  3. hopefully she'll understand eventually. I mean it's definitely new to me too, so I'm still learning. I tried asking for just money for Christmas that way I could get it...but she said no. either way I'll get it eventually...maybe when my refund check comes from school for spring semester.
  4. hmmm...from what I understand it's just wheat, rye, barley, and oats... (if I'm mistaken someone let me know) anyway I would say no that you didn't gluten him.
  5. is he supposed to be soy free along with gluten free?
  6. mine has had all sorts of funky things in it...somethings I don't even remember eating AT ALL...
  7. that's what I was thinking...even though my mom was adopted so I wouldn't get my genes from my gram...and when I mentioned that it was genetic she 'kindly' reminded me that my mom was adopted so she wouldn't have it. Granted I never even thought that because everyone knows that my mom is adopted it's just the fact the reason I said it was genetic was because...
  8. I just ate there tonight....it was the best experience I ever had at an OG and I usually get good service...I just posted my rant in coping with....so if you want the details go read it.... but anyway I called a couple days ago to make sure they had a gluten-free menu. They do. basically garden salad w/o croutons, ceasar salad w/o croutons, Pork something...
  9. The only person that seems to be supportive is my boyfriend (who in all honesty is the only support I truly need) but I would love to have the support of my gram (which of course I don't) Today I was trying to make bread and well right now it's in the oven but it doesn't look to good. Anyway when I was mixing all my different flours to get my 'all purpose...
  10. I don't know which A1 sauce you have so I got the list of all A1 sauces. Open Original Shared Link also for a reference Kraft is really good with listing ingredients. so if there is a possibility of wheat, barley, rye, or oats in one of their products it will say it Also welcome to the board. I've been gluten-free since Thursday (yeah I know, not...
  11. yeah I started thursday. my mom's side of the family all lives in Scranton so I'm up there a lot. I feel like I live in scranton and not the valley
  12. oooo that sounds really good... maybe I'll make that for my gram's birthday in feb
  13. or more so from the Wyoming Valley area of Northeast PA?
  14. I agree with Nancym...just start cooking gluten free and don't say anything. Unless it's stuff like breads and pasta I don't think they would notice. and if they do notice just say you want to talk to them about it without them interrupting. On a side note. I wish my grama was more like you. I'm doing gluten-free on my own no professional dx for now. And...
  15. Hey...I started on thursday. And so far so good at least for me. I took the advice about pasta from here and got tinkyada Rice pasta...absolutely love it tastes just like it in my opinion. I've also been eating a lot of rice and veggies, peanut butter, jennie's cookies, I also got different flours (for when I feel up to making bread). But my recommendation...
  16. I love Redken anything...minus the all soft of course...maybe I'm biased because that's what we sold when I worked in a salon but I love Redken
  17. when you go to a restaurant how do you exactly order? cause my boyfriend wants to go out and I'm just trying to figure out a way to order so I know that there won't be any problems... Thanks
  18. Omg I know and it looks almost exactly like one with gluten (just a little darker in color)... my bf's father's girlfriend got me on pumpkin roll so now I want to make a gluten-free one =)
  19. thank you...I was beginning to think I would never find a recipe for it....
  20. does anyone have a good recipe for pumpkin roll (gluten-free of course)...I usually make a bunch of them for the holidays but I'd like to do gluten-free this year for them. Thanks
  21. I don't know if you found your answer yet. First my suggestion is to call the salon you usually get your nails done at and ask what acrylic they use. OPI, Creative, and there's more but my mind is in a fog right now. Also be aware if you do go to a TOTAL asian salon they tend to just say 'we use the good stuff'. I just called my representative that i get...
  22. wow that's definitely a big mix...it seems like I could get a wide variety of foods with gluten-free. which I don't have no since I'm picky...but either way it'll be good. My question for gluten-free flours and gluten-free noodles (like rice noodles and such) can I buy those at reg supermarkets (like walmart, price chopper, or wegmans) or do I have to...
  23. My family has gone to Logan's. I don't know if it was because of gluten or not because when I went I wasn't that into watching gluten. I had thought I was safe with ribs. But I got violently ill. I was in bed for 2 days (and usually when I get that bad I push myself to get out of bed). My grandmother and her boyfriend had also gotten sick (they have no issues...
  24. I agree with Ursula about Kraft...yes I am bias to because my boyfriend works for them...but he explained to me that even if it technically doesn't have gluten in their product if there's the chance of cc they list gluten as an ingredient. which is great because a lot of other companies (not all) just say there is a chance of cc.
  25. That's what I thought. But basically since I've been on this 'kick' as she puts it all she says is to cut out the bread and pastry. She just made a comment at dinner that she doesn't think that I'll stick to this it's just another 'fad' . Yet I know how I feel when i have gluten. I printed out I believe it's nini's (if it's not please correct me) 50 things...
