  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. I have been gluten free for many years now, and although it took awhile to clear the mind, I now only get Brain Fog when I get cross contaminated. You may think you are completely clear of gluten, but tiny bits can sneak up on you. For instance, I only meet a friend for coffee where we can pour our own coffee. That way I can check the inside of the cup...
  3. Hmmmm, my hubby does that twice a day, I always just thought it was a man thing. He's not the one with Celiac Disease. Seriously, anything with sugar will give you down time, even without Celiac. But things like eggs with high protien should give you a boost instead. That is a puzzle. Maybe just your system telling you that it's time to nap.
  4. I was in town on Wed. and couldn't find any Heinz soups Guess we don't have them around. I also checked out the Imagine soups and couldn't find the words gluten free on them. I remember buying them a few years ago with gluten free written on them, but it's not there anymore. The ingredients look fine though, so I bought a tomato to try it. Haven...
  5. I have been fortunate enough not to have it, however, there is a new vaccine out for shingles. If you had chicken pox when you were a kid, it might be wise to get one. I totally forgot to ask my doctor for one last time I was in. Hopefully I will remember next time
  6. Thank you, I've booked marked it as well. Will have to look and see if my two main food groups are included. Chocolate and wine. Seriously, this looks very helpful!
  7. I think we are going into town tomorrow so will have to have a look for that soup. With any luck we can get it here too. We used to get Imagine that said gluten free on the pack, but lately I haven't been able to find the gluten free label Will have to look again. I miss my tomato soup.
  8. Yup, really me I'm having computer problems though, so just on periodically just yet. I had a total hard drive melt down and couldn't retrieve any of my data, settings or programs, so slowly getting back. I keep having to look through old note books to find passwords etc.
  9. Absolutely! Very wise I must go for now as I have company arriving, but will check back in tomorrow evening.
  10. I can see it being important, I just thought after all this time it would be figured out. How have you been? It's good to see there are still a couple of old favourites still here
  11. If it is a British import, would it meet north american gluten free standards. Or have the Brits stopped using wheat starch? They used to claim that wheat starch was gluten free. Does anyone know if that has changed?
  12. Wow, this is mind boggling! I've been away from this web site for months...if not a couple of years, and this discussion is still going on! Amazing!
  13. Hi Courtney; Welcome to the site Are you very active? I find that I have a lot more trouble loosing weight in the winter as I'm not a skier or anything like that. Summer time I'm into training dogs and golfing, gardening etc. so I'm much more active. And of course if I'm out playing with the dogs, I'm not in the house eating Also ... gluten free...
  14. Hello All ... I'm still here I think I sometimes wonder. It's crazy busy, so don't get on the computer much. I've got two seminars finished now, just two more to go. They are great fun, but do require time, thinking (that's hard ) and lots of practice. Tomorrow evening I will start doing dog obedience, agility and Rally O up here again...
  15. No, there is no specific test for the illium. The doctor knows where it is and can finger press to judge the tenderness of it. But more important, he can rule out the more dangerous things like ulcers and gallbladder. If these things are ruled out you can be pretty sure it is the illium causing the problems. My doctor calls it the Celiac pain. because...
