  1. Everyone should go read this article my mom just emailed me from her celiac support group: Open Original Shared Link How scary!! we have two jars of it in our cabinet! I am really starting to wonder if this is why I have been feeling so crappy. Maybe this has been my problem all along, not celiac? The symptoms look relatively the same, and I know...
  2. I just wanted to reply to everyone who was so kind to write to me these past few days.... thank you all SO SO SO much for your comments! you have really helped me to calm down way more than you can even imagine. I went and picked up the "prep kit" today.... get to start that fun stuff tomorrow. the one thing that sucked a lot is that my allergy tests came...
  3. I just wanted to point out how insane it is that this forum is 829 pages long.... wow.
  4. so I finally saw an actual G.I. (one month after initial blood tests diagnosed me with Celiac) and he wants me to have a biopsy and colonoscopy done on Valentines day. (hey, at least I know I'll be getting some....there should be some pretty decent sized tubes shoved down and up me) Im freaking out. I hate wearing those hospital gown things they make you...
  5. wow, thanks! those links are really helpful! I cant wait to check out SoulDog
  6. wow I can't believe Chillis has so many good reviews on here. My experience tonight was horrible. I went there with a big group of friends to celebrate a birthday. I had checked online prior to going to make sure they had a gluten-free menu, which they do. Once I got there though, the waiter had no idea what I was talking about and it took him almost...
  7. ps it's an ALLERGY TEST, I forgot to mention that
  8. they are both "simply organic" company from Wegmans
  9. I have been trying to cut out dairy for the past week to see if that would help my reactions I still keep having despite being gluten-free, and now my doctor has scheduled me for a test in a few hours. so my question is, no one seems to know if I should be eating dairy this morning so it will show up in the test results, and if so, how many hours before the...
  10. I bought some organic vanilla and organic cinnamon to cook with, but now I'm starting to wonder if they could be part of the problem as to why I still feel sick sometimes. I used them both in my gluten-free cinnamon raisin bread and get sick after eating it. (my other guess is it might be the corn in the xanthum gum?) anyway, has anyone else had a bad...
  11. flax/corn tortilla chips from an organic store! def very salty and sooooooo good!
  12. Hi, a bunch of people have posted about this recently. go to "search" and type "breadman" and check out the reviews!
  13. Hi, I just got that same bread machine, and I have a question... will yours allow you to select 2lbs for the gluten-free setting? mine won't, and that doesn't make any sense because in the booklet it comes with the chart shows that it is capable of doing 2lb settings in the gluten-free cycle. It will switch to 2lb or 1.5lb on some of the other settings...
  14. Wishbone blue cheese salad dressing is gluten-free!! For all of you out there looking to hit up some buffalo wings and blue cheese for the superbowl this weekend, there's a great source.
  15. FYI that gluten-free bakery in Chester is closed now. Apparently they couldn't keep up with the costs. Just wanted to add that in case any of you read this and were planning a trip out there.
  16. Hi I see you wrote this a while ago, but I also had Erythema Nodosum for a few months, and was then diagnosed with Celiac a month ago. I don't know how bad your case got, but I had huge red swollen bumps/black and blue bruises all over my shins and then even had my left ankle so swollen that I couldn't wear any shoes that weren't sandals! It got really...
  17. I'm in the Poughkeepsie area and would love to meet some people from around there. I just got diagnosed a month ago, so this is fairly new to me. I feel like I'm getting okay at label reading for gluten, but now I have to throw milk into the mix. I'm getting a little bored with the diet. Anyway, just seeing if anyone else out there is from this area....
  18. I'm new to the site as of today, and I just wanted to share this list I found that has a quite extensive list of manufacturers and products that are gluten-free, including some companies that make the much sought-after gluten-free blue cheese dressings we all miss! Open Original Shared Link Enjoy
