  1. Thanks for all of your replies. I like the idea of putting a note on my driver's license but do emergency workers and doctors always look there?
  2. Just curious if any of you wear one of these stating that you have celiac disease? A friend of mine asked me if I was going to get one and I have to admit I never thought about it. Any thoughts?
  3. Hi, I was just looking to see if there was a celiac awareness month and found a few different answers to this. I thought that October has already been designated as Celiac Awareness month. https://www.celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodid=411. Is this something different?
  4. www.gofugyourself.com. it's a fashion commentary/making fun of celebs site. it's sooooo funny.
  5. Thanks Amy! Everyone here is so helpful. I love this forum.
  6. Thanks Jenny! Homemade graham crackers sound like they would be so much better than store bought ones (and make a better crust!).
  7. I got a free ham from Omaha Steaks that I wanted to make as part of Easter dinner but I am not sure if it's gluten free and would appreciate any advice. The ham was cured with: Water, Salt, Brown Sugar, Cane Sugar, Sodium Phosphate, Sodium Erythorbate, Hydrolyzed Corn Protein, Sodium Nitrite, Dextrose. Is this ok? My second question is - does anyone know...
  8. So that's what happened! I haven't been able to find the bread at my Whole Foods either. (I'm on Long Island.) I've made sandwichs on Joan's Gluten Free Great Bakes Bagels before and they are really good. I hope someone out there has some good ideas on the bread because it looks like we are in the same boat.
  9. I contacted Omaha Steaks about their plain chicken breasts last month and was told that they are gluten free and actually have nothing added to them. I don't know about their other products, but they were very helpful when I called.
  10. I am so sorry to hear about your father. I know exactly what you are going through. My dad passed away on Feb. 13 at the age of 68 from a massive heart attack. He just never came home from work. My older brother was the one to find him. I am still in complete and utter shock. I heard that for a sudden death it can take up to 4 years to recover. God, I hope...
  11. Does anyone know the nutritional information on the plain bagels? Such as the calories and fat content? For that matter, can anyone tell me how gluten free baked goods stack up against their "regular" conterparts? I noticed that most of the gluten free baked goods I've found (like bread and bagels) don't have any nutritional information listed on their labels...
  12. Original Sin is definitely gluten free - www.origsin.com. I emailed them and got a response back from Gidon Coll.
