ARCHIVED One Year And Still Feel Awful
holdthegluten replied to holdthegluten's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I tried fresh almonds and walnuts and they bloated me up, which is why i switched to almond butter........i am afraid i wont get enough calories if i cut out the nuts (almond butter, lara bars, flax seed bar, etc). My ND wants me to eat a lot of fish, but it is so low in calories im worried i will lose more weight if i cut out the fatty nuts. -

ARCHIVED Help With Allergy Test
holdthegluten replied to b91hd7fjk's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
If you are looking for a general food intolerance test you can go online to www.optimumhealthresource.com The lab is a pretty good lab, but the customer service is awful. It took me 2 months to get my results, but it did pinpoint some problems. I think it is a 96 food intolerance IgG panel, which looks for foods that you have a delayed reaction to. -

Thank you very much Kassandra for the kind words. I just want to let Rachel know that I was tested for candida and it came back UNREMARKABLE. I just have the symptoms that match, but I think my problem is something else. I have confidence in my ND, as she listens very well and is extremely knowledgeable regarding all kinds of possibilities. Thanks Rachel... -

holdthegluten replied to holdthegluten's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I am pretty much just eating vegtables, beef , seafood, poultry, some fruit, almonds, walnuts, olive oil, coconut oil, almond butter. That is what my naturopath wants me to eat. Almost like the SCD or Paleo diet. I just started it and it my second day. -
ARCHIVED Diet Diary?
holdthegluten posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
How do you do a diet diary when you react to everything you eat. No matter what i eat, the symptoms are the same. It doesnt help to write it down, because there is nothing to compare to. Any advice? -

ARCHIVED Optimum Health Resource Testing?
holdthegluten replied to a topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
If you are patient and dont mind waiting, the lab is supposed to be pretty good. The results are self-explanitory, so you dont need there support. I suggest faxing them if you have any questions. Calling the number is pointless. -

Yes, you can develop other food Intolerances if you eat the same food all of the time, but you are more likely to develop additional food intolerances from having a leaky gut due to inflammation from your gluten intolerance. Keep in mind that food allergies are different from food intolerances. It is unlikely to develop ant additional food allergies. Look... -
