ARCHIVED Toronto Restaurant -"relish" On The Danforth
Annaem replied to Annaem's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
I totally understand. I am very strict about going out. Once and a while we splurge and go somewhere nice. But i always email them and confirm ingredients before i even go. This place is owned and run by a chef. The problem with a typical diner is the cook is not a chef. Chef's have the education to understand what gluten free means. But accidents happen... -

sorbitol is a sugar. it is not associated with gluten. -
They have P.F. CHangs with an alternative menu, as well as The Great Outback and Tony Romas. As for the buffets, if you call in to speak to the chef he can tell you what's available at the buffet. I usually have fruit salad, eggs at the stand so i can see what they are doing and know they aren't mixed with anything. As for bacon they usually put it on top...

Im glad to hear all is well with you and your family. I have been gluten-free for 2 years but i struggle with vitamin deficiencies all the time. And trust me i am a strict gluten-free. No cheating over here. Hopefully these vitamins help me out and im back on track. I was concerned about the baby. Hopefully i caught this problem early enough. I am 18 weeks...

ARCHIVED Crete And Rhodes This Summer
Annaem replied to Tash-n-tail's topic in Traveling with Celiac Disease
Most meats and fish are marinated in lemon, olive oil and oregano. But you really need to stress with them NO BREAD. Greeks love bread! The cuisine is quite simple. I can't imagine why you can't enjoy a shish ka bob (souvlaki). Most meats are grilled which is good. You can make quite a nice meal out of a greek salad (no bread). Perhaps you can even ask them... -

This is the email i got from Le Petit Cafe Aruba 3 years ago. I save everything. I did go here and i was fine. You can try writing to them yourself and see what they have to say 3 years later. Perhaps they can provide you with more information. I know of no gluten-free food on the island, but maybe it will be available soon. However, it is not necessary...

Swiss Chalet has the alternative menu listed along with the allergy information and take out food information. just ask for it when you arrive. I always get the quarter chicken with the baked potato and dipping sauce. No bun of course! They are located everywhere. -

I don't know if i agree with the Keg option. It was a long time ago but i didn't have the greatest experience. There is a restaurant called Villa it used to be an Il Fornello's. Awesome chocolate mouse dessert. Open Original Shared Link . The options are identified in the menu. Another restaurant is Bar Mercurios on Bloor Street (close to St. George... -
I have been to Aruba 6x times and 3 of those times as a Celiac. Basically i stayed at a place that has a kitchen and did grocery shopping. They carry a lot of American products such as Kraft which is very useful. The grocery stores are very modern! There is a Tony Roma's there and u can get their gluten-free list online. I also went to Texas de Brazil. They...

ARCHIVED Trying To Find gluten-free Prenatals That Are Either Chewable Or Easy To Swallow
Annaem replied to angel42's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I've never had a problem with the swallowing so perhaps im not the best person to suggest prenatal vitamins. I take Centrum Materna. I find their shape makes it easy for them to go down. i used to take Jameson but those one were thicker. I like the centrum better. -
THanks for the advice
