  14. Our lifestyle is hard indeed, but we eat btter than most!A classic celiac will actually gain wight, post diagnosis, dur to the fact that you are now absorbing nutrients. I dont trust eating out, even if its a gluten-free menu, remember, those COOKS are usually 16-18 yr. olds that want a paycheck, not making sure you havnt been cross-containenated! Chuck

    ARCHIVED Dr. Needed In Texas

Hi My 75 yr old doctor couldnt diagnose me for 7 yrs. But what saved me was he died.I went to a sharp young doctor. It was the FIRST test she did after seeing all the tests the other doc did! That was 6 yrs ago,and feel fine to this day going gluten-free. So,Probably newer docs have had all the latest training? I would think so. Chuck

  21. Beth I started very simple.Fresh veggies,fruit, fish/chicken/meat potatoes/rice. Then I slowly built upon that, and found the suspect foods.Also some spices/prescription pills can be suspect.Possibly cosmetics.When I started my gluten-free diet,my symptoms almost immediadtly went away Chuck gluten-free July 4th 2003
