  1. It could be from treatment, but my concern is that I was at Lake Arrowhead last weekend....it's an endemic area. And I was outside quite a bit. So really, how would I know if it was from treatment or a new bite? Hmm...
  2. I've been on abx since December. So it is coming up on 8 months. Part of the extreme fatigue could be the anemia, but I don't know. I am in a different place than I was when I had my last iron IV's, but they don't usually make any difference in how I feel. Everyone, Last night I noticed this strange rash on my leg. It was red with white around it...
  3. Happy 4th of July!!! Just a little venting...I am really over all of this stuff. Holidays always get me really down. It's a reminder that another year has passed, and not a lot has changed as far as my symptoms. I am very grateful that I do have a diagnosis, and we are treating something, but still... I feel like we're missing something big...
  4. Yes! It will be even better when I can eat the foods and NOT react, lol.
  5. Thanks everyone! I woke up with a huge amount of balloons outside my door. I went shopping with my mom, but ran out of energy after one store, so we came home. I decided to let myself eat whatever I want today because I've been really strict sulfur free lately. So, I have a gluten-free cake baking in the oven...and I had some mac and cheese...
  6. Mine was in the teens! What about artemesia for babs? The pre-op went fine, it was for the D and C. I'm really anemic again...no surprise there. So the gyno wants me to see the hematologist to get more iron IV's. My ferritin is 4 and every other number other than hemoglobin is low. My hemoglobin is 12ish, which is higher than we thought...
  7. Carla emailed me and said to tell everyone she says HI! She said happy bday to Donna too. I'm about to go to my pre-op appt, once I get out of bed. Mepron is kicking my butt these days!
  8. Rachel, It was IgG tests. Donna, HAPPY BDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
  9. I got food allergy results... I'm VERY allergic/intolerant to almonds! I eat quite a bit of them for fat for mepron. Whole wheat, spelt, barley, gliadin wheat and gluten are all really high too. How is that possible if it's been over a year since I had any of that stuff?! Eggs are high too, so are peanuts (which I almost never eat), but dairy...
  10. Yes, thank you! Which brand are you taking? I started taking TF and it hasn't caused a herx or anything... Everyone, I had a great weekend up in Lake Arrowhead! It was a lot of fun. I'm exhausted now, emotionally and physically. More physically though, LOL! The bleeding hasn't changed much at all. I am going to call the Dr tomorrow...
  11. I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that I'm going to be out of town through Sunday night. I'm just going away for a couple days. Should have a really great time! It's perfect also because I'm going with a lot of friends, so I will be able to get my mind off of this "uterine" stuff. I'll see ya all later! (Thanks for the support lately.....
  12. I'm here. Just kinda feel stuck in slow motion. I talked to the Dr yesterday and the bleeding got worse again, so she switched me to another med....it's used for uterine cancer. So I'm trying to not freak out totally. But it's given me horrible cramps, so I was in a lot of pain today.
  13. A friend of mines son was just diagnosed with egg, gluten and dairy intolerances, so they're out of ideas. The little boy is Autistic and can't really talk, so it's difficult to find out what he likes and doesn't like. They're mainly looking for meal and snack ideas. He is texture phobic apparently...so he likes things like apple sauce, but not cottage...
  14. Ugh. Really rough appointment. She started out by saying that she wanted to put me on some hormones to induce my period, so we could get the really thick lining of my uterus out. Then as she looked over a 2 year old pelvic ultrasound, she realized that pills aren't an option...not aggressive enough. She said she wanted to do a D&C in about 2 weeks...
  15. I'll definitely let you know! LOL! I'm really trying hard to NOT get ahead of myself, but after today's appt, I'm worried.
  16. I'm taking Cytomel...the same exact dose as you. I don't know exactly what my numbers were for the T3, but they were very low. Dr H said we need to re-test after I've been on it for about a month or so...which is now. I need to try to remember when I see him again.
  17. I'm really annoyed! I just looked over the blood work from last night and ughhh!!!! I AM anemic. All of my other iron numbers are low. I guess I should get an appt with Dr C, my hematologist. I think I'm going to wait until tomorrow after we re-draw my iron and ferritin, etc. Nora, I do have low T3 but we have been supplementing it. I will definitely...
  18. Thank you ladies! Yes PCOS has an insulin component. That's why they usually send you to an endocrinologist because that's their specialty. A lot of people have to go on Diabetes meds in addition to hormones for PCOS. Yes I'm really tired. More tired from being up all night the past two nights because it was so out of control. I was almost...
  19. I had to go to the ER last night. The bleeding wasn't slowing down and I was SO pale, I looked like a ghost. I didn't want to go, but the on call Dr at my OB/GYN's office said to go and have my iron levels checked. So we did, and the ER doc was pretty nice. A little ignorant about Lyme. He asked me if I've been to the East Coast because that's the only...
  20. Thank you. It just NEVER stops! My port is now giving me problems...won't stop bleeding. So I have to call the surgeon on Monday to see what he wants me to do. I forgot about it all until this happened, LOL! Bleeding for 6 almost 7 weeks forced me to deal with it. Also this new GYN is great...her Nurse Practitioner said "We need to diagnose...
  21. I finally just spoke with the OB/GYN. She basically said I have to start the hormones right away to stop the bleeding. It's pretty much just progesterone. She said if the bleeding doesn't slow down by Monday morning to double the dose of the Provera. We will eventually have to get rid of my "thick" lining by making my bleed with certain hormones. She...
  22. I told you I didn't think I could ever use NFP! My temps are so crazy, so are my periods so it makes sense. Yea, she explained SO much, and I'm used to Dr H writing things down for me, because I don't remember anything. She didn't write anything down. Rachel, Thanks for sharing all that with me. The issue is that my period won't stop. These...
  23. I'm sure I'll have kids one day, but actual pregnancy is something I have always wanted to experience. It's just an amazing thing, and I'd be bummed if I couldn't go through it. Thanks, I'll talk to Dr H about it. I'd ask my OB/GYN, but we all know how most Dr's are about supplements. Sorry Nancy if I seemed short with you. I'm just going...
  24. An update. We so far haven't been able to get in to see an endocrinologist. Dr M (the OB?GYN) who I was supposed to see, but didn't because she wasn't in the office today...called us and told us that the endo her office suggested is NOT someone who I should see. He isn't a specialist in female issues, so it wouldn't he a helpful appt. So at this point...
