  1. I'm trying to buy some pre-packaged individual products (food and other stuff) for an upcoming trip. Someone posted once with a link to a great site with all kinds of individual products....anyone know what site it is? I'm specifically looking for Almond Butter with NO additives in a small individual package. Thank you!
  2. Yea, the supplements are SO expensive! And, like I said, I've never had insomnia problems and don't think this is a Lyme symptom for me. It's mainly because I don't have enough energy to get tired enough to fall asleep. Catch 22.
  3. No I don't think so. Every time I have more tests done, it just costs more money for supplements. I never used to have insomnia problems, but it's just because I'm not physically active enough. When I was in Vegas, I slept fine (with only melatonin) because we had a busy day or two. I'm going to call and ask for something else. I mainly just...
  4. I'm sick of sleep problems. Dr H gave me the highest dose of Lunesta and it has done NOTHING!! I'm still wide awake hours after taking it. I have to call tomorrow and ask for something else. I just need something to GET me to sleep. (Sorry for the vent...this is just getting old )
  5. LOL! I will do another one tonight and see how I do with it. I was doing it over my entire abdominal area. I don't think there is ANY impacted stool in me...especially since I had just had a colonic. It felt good (kinda oily...) but I couldn't get the hot water bottle hot enough. I like things HOT so it was just kinda luke warm by the time it went through...
  6. For the magnesium question...I take one 250 mg tablet. (For something other than sleep) It doesn't help with sleep for me. I think you can take as much magnesium as your bowels will tolerate. So start slowly and then once you get watery stools, back off.
  7. I am doing a castor oil pack right now per Dr H's suggestion. I don't know if you're supposed to feel any different? My stomach seems to be cramping. Is that normal? (Julie...do you know?)
  8. Ok, that clears it up for me! Thanks!!! The next question I have is, would organic things be less likely to contain sulfites as preservatives? I wish there was a list of things to avoid like there is with gluten.
  9. I will talk to my mom about buying VSL #3. I didn't get the D today during the infusion, and I was going to say I didn't get it after...but I don't know. (I had another high colonic, so I wouldn't know! LOL! ) The colon hydrotherapist said that my food is coming out the same way it's going in. I knew that was happening. I'm not absorbing my food....
  10. Rachel, I have a question about the whole sulfur/sulfite diet thing. What are the kinds of sulf... foods are there? Do they ALL need to be avoided? I'm really confused. I was reading about things other than the list of foods Dr H told me to avoid, and now I'm really confused.
  11. Rachel, I'm supposed to have the OAT test too. I was supposed to have it a while ago, but when they sent me the test kit (the NP) it was expired. I actually need to call tomorrow and see where it is, because I should have it by now! I also want to ask Dr H about the porpyrin test...keep forgetting! I want to address metals, but I want to give myself...
  12. Thanks everyone for the thoughts about the u/s. The hormone test is a urine test and it also tests adrenals, and I *think* heavy metals. The reason he's doing it this way is because it's a lot more accurate if they test my urine. Blood levels change a lot throughout the day (as far as hormones) but this way it's a 24 hour urine test. So hopefully we'll find...
  13. I had my appt with Dr H yesterday and it went really well. I don't know if there's any point in sending out an email because not a lot changed. He's running quite a few tests for hormones and wants my results from the pelvic ultrasound (which is today) ASAP! (Let's hope it's NOT transvaginal ) If anyone really wants to hear the details of what else...
  14. So my first infusion went okay. The nurse came and showed us how to do everything. She showed my mom more than she showed me, but I caught on anyway since I've seen so many IV's started before. Basically, they have to "access" the port, which is done by putting a needle in it. She unfortunately didn't get "in" on the first try, so she had to do it again...
  15. LOL! Uh oh... I will do an ecoffee tomorrow morning before she comes. If I can lay on the floor, my port is still pretty painful. Is your post an indication of what I should expect from the herx? It's really going to happen though, because I got everything tonite from the infusion company. They dropped it all off, so the nurse will come tomorrow and...
  16. OMG!!! I am having my first IV abx infusion tomorrow!!!!! Insurance is covering the IV's! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So at 2-3pm tomorrow I will be infusing!
  17. I don't know if I can post this here or not, but this is a link for videos of the Lyme Induced Autism conference that is in a couple weeks. I guess you can watch it as a webcast. I am excited because I'm not able to go to the conference, but at least I'll be able to see some of the conference! Open Original Shared Link
  18. I don't have ANY energy to do any detox stuff. I thought about doing ecoffee but there was NO way I had the energy to do that. I can't bathe yet until the port is all healed from the surgery.
  19. I had my food allergy blood test drawn today. I'm glad that's over...now onto the really strict sulfur free diet. I'm still waiting to hear back from Dr H's office about getting an appt. My uncle is "very concerned" that I am in bad shape. He said he hasn't seen me this bad in a long time. I don't know what to think, I just think it's been a really...
  20. It's nothing...I had it for 90 days once. Now THAT was fun! LOL! That was actually the beginning of the end of my health. Everything went haywire from that point on. I'm headed to the place where I had my port placed and they're going to change the dressing and look at it to make sure everything is okay. I will also set up the appt. for the pelvic ultrasound...
  21. That is probably SO true! LOL!!! I have a request for everyone...can you all pray/send positive thoughts that the insurance company approves my IV abx. I just talked to the lady at the infusion company and she said that as soon as she gets papers faxed from the Dr's office, the insurance company's case worker said it will be approved because I...
  22. I need opinions... Should I buy a long handled kabuki, angled blush brush or new flat top brush? I think I mainly want to use it for finishing powder and my first layer (primer). I already have a baby kabuki and that's what I mainly use for foundation. Anyone have a favorite?
  23. I am going to have an ELISA type test done. I should have it drawn tomorrow once I am a little more functional and can get out of bed. I am also going to have a hormone panel done mainly because I've had my period for 35ish days. For breakfast, I eat chicken and some fruit maybe. I need fat 2x/day for my Mepron. So yesterday my breakfast was almond...
  24. HAHA! I'm still trying to figure it all out. Basically...chicken, sometimes red meat (rarely though because I don't really like it), sweet potatoes in the form of french fries (but we bake them), green beans, all fruit pretty much, except pineapple. And for starch I do brown rice or quinoa. It is VERY boring. I'm actually not free of all the...
