    Hello. I am on a gluten-free diet and we don't know if I have celiac or not (long story). I went "gluten light" for awhile and I didn't notice much of a difference with how I felt. Then my doctor told me to go strictly gluten-free so I did. I was gluten-free for about a week and I toasted a piece of gluten-free bread in the gluten ridden toaster and got glutened...

    The only fast food ill eat is in n out because its a dedicated fryer. I don't eat at other places mainly because of other allergies but I would love a shake!!! If only I could eat dairy. Kassandra

    Hello, I had a treatment of 5 IV's of iron (consecutively) and they raised my ferritin from nothing (literally came back on labs as .3<) After the treatments it went up to 130!!! This was great, but then they went back down to 40 in less than 4 weeks. The doctor told me to make SURE I was taking Folic Acid while the treatments, and I should keep taking...

    Lollipop and Chloe I have not officially been diagnosed with Celiac (long story) but am on a strict gluten free, egg free, peanut free AND dairy free and am now starting a soy and corn elimination diet.     kilcan, I have read almost everywhere that Celiac and irregular menses are related. I haven't had my period in almost 5 months. Last year, I had it for 90 days in a ROW!!!     Paula, I had the scratch tests for allergies a while ago and they didn't use needles at first. They use a little plastic thing that has sharp ends but it really didn't hurt.     Buckwheat flour pancakes are SOOO good! I make them all the time. Especially if you pre mix the dry ingredients and then add the wet ones when your'e ready to make them, like early in the morning before work, school, etc. They are really good and for a treat I add "Enjoy Life's" chocolate chips which are free of just about every allergen.     MJS, for the blood tests, have her pediatrician order the TTG and AMA or Ema (I cant remember.) I don't know exactly what they stand for, but those are the ones that they use for diagnosis. Also, there is a "Celiac Panel" which has everything in it, except not always the 2 i mentioned. So, make SURE those are in there. Kassandra

    I am 16 and I have had a "rash" on my left arm and a little of the same rash on my thighs. It doesn't look like what the pictures of DH look like. But my question is, is it possible? I had blood tests ordered in November of last year and they came back fine, but my dr ordered every test EXCEPT the ttg and ama (i think thats right.)     Nancy and Rachel, I see both of your points. I, like BOTH of you, think Gluten Intolerance is JUST AS VALID as Celiac. I think the reason I started this thread is because I felt like when I went to the Celiac Foundation, they told me I "needed" to get diagnosed. I think that people have strong reactions to gluten even if they don't have the Celiac Gene...
