  1. I read on here that this soup is gluten-free so I bought it. I was going to use it on a roast tomorrow for dinner but as I was reading the can today I saw Monosodium Glutamate. MSG is definitely gluten right? If I cannot use this soup, can anyone else recommend a cream of mushroom substitute? Thanks!!!! Jess
  2. I have had cysts since I was 17 & thus have also been on the pill sice I was 17. When I decided to go gluten-free I also quit my pill. At 24 I relized I had no idea what post puberty life was like without the pill. I have had some cyst reoccurances but I feel much better overall. Maybe one day i will go back on the pill to help with the cysts (i dont...

  4. Another CRAVING ALERT! I was wondering if anyone knew/had a gluten-free substitute for Ranch Doritos? The girl next to me @ work is eating them & they smell wonderful! And any other super yummy gluten-free junk food you would like to share would be awesome
  5. OK, so I went & bought the puffed rice cereal from Whole Foods & made some instead of buying the one @ the store. It wasn't as good but it was still yummy! It is hard sometimes to avoid all gluten as I am only allergic to wheat but if what my docotr says is right, if I keep eating them it is just a matter of time before I am allergic to all gluten...
  6. Ok, then you are right. I have Daisy @ home & have never had a problem. Sorry guys!!!
  7. I am wondering because I would KILL for a rice crispy treat right now & I am allergic to wheat only. The doctor says I should eat as little other glutens as possible on the off chance I develop another allergy but since I dont eat any gluten it is time for a splurge! I WANT ONE SOOOOO BAD!!!!! Please someone tell me it is not wheat!
  8. I use Jarro-Dophilus from Whole Foods. It is great. I have noticed a lot less gas or irritation issues from normal non-allergic foods (onions, garlic, alcohol, etc) & also my body gets rid of gluten alot faster than it did before. My post-gluten symptoms used to last 3-4 days & now (depending on how bad it was) i am feeling better the next morning...
  9. I totally have all 3 of these problems. I rarely but more often now than before gluten-free have a normal movment. I eat a ton of corn, rice, potatoes, fruit, raw veggies, etc & the occasional dairy. I am going to try doubling my magnesium supplement in the morning to see if that helps. The prune thing sounds interesting too. Anyone know if taking Magnesium...
  10. The butter @ Outback is safe but just FYI the Sour Cream is DEFINITELY not! I have a wheat allergy so as soon as I eat it I can tell before it even gets digested & I had 2 bites of the baked potato with SC & got hives! There must be quite a bit of wheat in there b/c that reaction is usually reserved for eating a bread products or deep fried somethings...
  11. I have an appt with my allergist on Tuesday but I was just wondering if anyone knew in the mean time since the supplements have to be ordered & take a while to get here. I will definitely let you know what she says!
  12. I am wondering if anyone else has this or knows about this. I ask b/c since no Endo or Internalist will put me on thyroid meds my Chiro has ordered me some Thyroid supplements but they contain Iodine. Now, is this what is in shellfish that I am allergic to? Ir is it just the shellfish in general? Also, for the people who have celiac or a wheat allergy...
  13. I also feel your pain. My boyfriend was not very supportive either in the beginning of all this but now that he sees how much better I am feeling & how I am rarely in a bad mood anymore he is supportive. Once you start physically feeling better this will all feel a little less overwhelming. I am not saying there wont be times when it is all you can do...
  14. Thanks alot! I will definitely be getting in on this. Still new to all of this so the meetings would probably be super helpful!
  15. WoW! There are alot more people from Dallas on here than I thought. How do you get in on the monthly meetings someone was talking about? I would defintely be interested in that!
  16. Ok, I am going to give this guy one more chance since he said he would order whatever blood test I wanted to I am going to request everything on the site that was recommended at the top. But all the ranges are put on the results by LabCorp not my doctor. I will point out to him that these are outdated ranges & see if that does anything but I am tired...

    ARCHIVED Doctors In Dallas, Tx

I need a doctor, any doctor @ this point, who knows anything about HypoThyroid, Celiac, or Progesterone deficiency. I am tired of being told nothing is wrong, that I need a shrink & exercise! Thanks for any suggestions!
  19. Thanks you guys for the input! My family doctor has been telling me that I am either hypo or PCOS for years but wont do anything about it. She just keeps recommending I see all these other doctors who tell me NOTHING IS WRONG I JUST NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT & possibly see a shrink for my anxiety attacks! *calms down* Anyways, I read like a text book case...
  20. Ok, I got my Lab results from my Thyroid/PCOS tests from LAST YEAR finally. The doctor kept saying I didn
  21. I get hives whenever I eat gluten but it is because I have a wheat allergy. It has the majority of the same symptoms as celiac so you wouldn't necessarily notice them & my allergist says it is not uncommon to have both a wheat allergy & celiac. If it has happened before maybe she should have an allergy test.
  22. Ok, so LOVE Wolfgang Puck soups, they are super good! Here is what I got off their website: Do Wolfgang Puck Soups contain MSG? MSG is not added to Wolfgang Puck's Soups. Are any varieties of Wolfgang Puck
  23. Anyone else know anything about them or use thier products? I need to know if my hives are from this or soemthing else.
