  1. If you don't want to bother with making your own...you should try Udi's bread. It is soooo good. It is soft and stays on the counter..doesn't need toasting...although it makes wonderful grilled cheese!
  2. I have had the exact same problem with banana bread. I'm not sure what the answer is, though. Maybe less banana actually...
  3. Ok....so which one is the one you all are raving about...white or multigrain?
  4. Kathy, I'd much rather be in Colorado! Decatur is where I live now. Well, sorta. I live in Oakely Township out towards Mt. Zion and Cerro Gordo. We live in the country, and we like it that way. But, we have been to Durango and Silverton. B-E-A-U-tiful!
  5. I did...the people i talked to weren't real sure. It's the one in Bloomington, IL
  6. For those of you that like this so much, which one do you like? The white or whole grain? Also, does anyone know what bread Biaggi's Italian Restaurant sells? The one in bloomington is wonderful.

  8. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  9. One of my pastors approached me today to bake the communion wafers for the whole church (800) and they can be gluten free! Woohoo! Apparently, there are more than me there with celiac and they want to accamodate them. I don't know of a recipe and wondered if anyone has made these that would have a recipe. We only have communion a few times a year so I...
  10. I am experiencing the lumps myself. It happens when I get constipated. It is stool in the colon moving and trying to get where it needs to go. I end up taking a stool softener so it's not so hard to move. If your son had the break outs as a baby, he may have celiac in which he will not grow out of it. Hope things are better today.
  11. I never did get an email, but I DID get a letter in the mail. It said the chicken broth was gluten free and they sent me coupons. Yeah!
  12. Thanks all. It just said chicken broth and not what was in the broth. So I just wondered. Thanks again.
  13. No one knows? I emailed them, but no answer. I just thought someone would know.
  14. Is their boneless, skinless chicken breast gluten free? I see they have added broth.
  15. It has all the regular enzymes plus the alfalfa.
  16. The Nature Valley nut bars ---Peanut Crunch and Almond Crunch don't have any oats in them at all. They're pretty good! More protien.
  17. I eat plenty of fruits and veggies. I just hate protein. My doc wants me to eat 90 gms a day, but it's HARD. I don't like it. Anyway, I have a hard time digesting proteins. I'm hoping it will be easier with the enzymes.

  19. I am having such a hard time healing. I have been VERY careful, but my intestines just hurt a lot. I did get a piece of a crouton in my salad Sunday and didn't know it until I ate it. I got real sick last night with D and lost 1.5 lbs. Now I'm back down to 106.5. I thought taking some enzymes to help me digest food will help. It has alfalfa in it also...
  20. I had some extra money this week so I though I'd spoil myself and buy some Kinnickinick english muffins. They are quite substanial. I toasted it and ate it like a sandwich. I had a tuna salad sandwich. It was sooooo goooood. My tummy was so happy to have something that wasn't heavy and dense. It toasted really nice and was flaky and chewy. It was...
  21. I buy domata flour. You can get it in bulk online. I put it in a 5 gallon bucket. It has everything all ready in it like the xanthan gum and such. I can't get bulk right now, so I buy 2 5 lb bags and with shipping it's $32. It lasts me quite a while and I make everything from scratch. Hope that helps. Stephanie
  22. My time of the month has gotten so much better. I'm able to control the pain with Tylenol. I used to have Vicodin for the pain. I used to black out and get really sick to my stomach. I don't get that anymore since gluten free.
  23. It can definately be a struggle. Just yesterday I made cinnamon rolls for the first time since diagnosis. I cried. I got all depressed after looking at them. They weren't my "original" newspaper published worthy ones. They tasted the same, but did not look or feel the same. I came to realize I am just going to have to know that not everything is going...
  24. Well, I just haven't been feeling well and so I haven't made any bread or anything for lunches. I always have trouble with lunches. Our funds are low right now and our garden is not ready yet. It just seemed hard to find something to eat. And I'm always hungry! I'm not starving on purpose if that's what you mean. All of your suggestions have...
  25. I slept well last night. I think the extra protein helped. I didn't realize how active I am in the summer with gardening, sewing, canning, etc. It takes alot of muscle power. lol. I plan on trying for the same today. I think yesterday I ended up with a total of 70 g. Oh, and pb cookies sound good by the way!
