  1. Hold off as long as you can....PLEASE. Use a religious exemption or a note from the Doctor, (If he is really willing to work well with you on the issue) for daycare. Never give an unhealthy child a vaccine, and never give a healthy child more than one at a time! I have a 15 yr old son who has been gluten-free/casein free for 7 years. On 1-12-94 He was...
  2. Can unexplained seizures be a symptom of celiac disease? I hadn't read that anywhere yet. I have a good friend who's daughter (32 yrs)just started having seizures. She has been tested for everything, (except celiac) and every thing comes out negative. Can you explain this more? Thanks for sharing your story. We pray every week for this young woman at...
  3. My son has been gluten-free/CF for 7 years. He always loved beer batter fish, so I experimented until I came up with a batter so good, that it is the only way I fry fish any more...for him and everyone. (Even company) Please note that for some reason, if it is wet/raining this batter will not turn out properly... It sticks and is a mess. If it is...
  4. OH MY GOSH!! You just basically told my life story...(except for the worm thing...LOL) I too have the post Gall Bladder surgery (3 years ago), explosive gotta go RIGHT NOWS. Also, brain Fog/ PMDD etc. etc. I assume you have weight issues if you purchased Alli. Out of curiosity, did your weight issues escalate after the surgery? I've always been pleasantly...
  5. YUMMMM...I'm jealous. There is nothing like a fresh peach. Grandma used to can hers in Mason jars. She also made peach preserves, and pork roast with a peach glaze. Peach daiquiris are great with a little malibu rum. Oh the possibilities! FYI...just incase you don't know, if you dip your peaches in boiling water for a few seconds, the skin slides...
  6. I have yet to be diagnosed, but I started showing major symptoms 3 years ago as well, directly following a gall bladder surgery. The Doc told me it was common to have diarrhea for a few months following the surgery....well, it's never stopped and a host of other symptoms started erupting quickly following. Out of curiosity...what did the dentist tell you...
  7. My Aunt has MS. For years she has dealt with bowel issues, and was told it's just part of her disease. It started out as chronic constipation at first, and over the years turned to chronic diarrhea. As her disease progressed, she had a very hard time making it to the toilet in time and had many very embarrassing accidents. A few years ago I read an article...
  8. Thank you all who responded. I will call tomorrow and "demand" the blood test. This has got to stop. I hate going anywhere for fear of the dreaded D. My girl friends stopped asking me to go shopping because they know I'll say no. Hubby & Kids would love to go on a vacation this summer, but I'm afraid to be stranded in the middle of the desert, (or...
  9. The problem with blood tests is the occasional false negative, not the false positive, if any of your children should have the scope, I would think it should be the one that tested negative on the blood test, (IMHO). Wow, good job on going gluten-free so quickly. My 14 year old son has been gluten and casein free because of leaky gut for 7 years. Oh...
  10. Hi all, Ive been reading here the last few days and have many questions, but I'll start out slow...LOL I have MANY symptoms of Celiac disease EXCEPT weight loss. Matter of fact I have gained about 100 pounds over the last 3 years. (after gall bladder surgery) Last time I visited the doctor, I discussed many of the symptoms. He said that I could not have...
