ahh... I see. I have dark red cheeks that never change or go away. always the same. no triggers. nothing. I tried the creams, nothing.. I've had my symptoms for as long as I remember. I think they probably started when I was 7. I fell off the back of a pickup truck that braked too fast, and smeared the right side of my face on pavement. i'm assuming I...

^ ahh... very nice... so every time they do a celiac biopsy test they check for other things too.. well I don't really have any gastoerontoligist symptoms, or whatever, like not stomach pain etc... just constipation..
-
Rachel, your symptoms and what not sound JUST LIKE ME... every single symptoms you listed. brain fog, constipation... fatigue.. would my "rosacea" count as a "skin rash" symptom? but yeah, I have a quick question, how did you get mercury contamination? from the teeth filling? did you eat a lot of fish growing up? I didn't, could mercury still be my...

^ ahh, that makes sense... I'm definitely going to look into that. staying away from food additives sounds like a good idea... is there a way I can test for vitamin and mineral levels in my body? make sure I'm not deficient anywhere? who would do it, my regular family doctor? is it a good idea? how do I find out if the feingold diet might be good for...

Ahh, I see... how can I tell if I have mercury contamination and what not? I have almost all the primary symptoms you listed. what kind of diet are you on?
-
^ thanks Rachel. I guess I will be patient and wait. what ended up being your problem? lymes disease? also on you signature it mentions candida and chemical sensitivities. what kind of symptoms do those give and how do I test for them? what are some good websites for further reading?

hmm... well I did the enterolab thing a few years ago. some of you guys may remember me, but I did the stool test for gluten sensitivity and malabsorption. both were positive. those were my results, I did the malabsorption part like a year later... was positive. I don't have a copy of the results anymore. so I tried gluten free for about 3 months...

7-cody replied to Nancym's topic in Related Issues & Disorders

I hope nobody minds that I'm bumping a two year old thread. I did a google search on rosacea and gluten and ran into this thread. anyway, I've got a few questions if ya'll don't mind.. fish, rice, fruit and veggies eh? how long did it take to clear up your rosacea? how much redness are we talking=) how long did it take for improvements...

Hi, I've been reading about Candidas Albicans lately. It sounds a LOT like me... I even think my red cheeks could be from it. How do I test for this? I've read that you can do stool tests etc, and also a lot of people selling 3lac claim that you can do a spit test and take a simple questionnaire which is enough to self diagnose yourself. I pass the online...

I'm 99% sure I'm not getting any gluten... I would have felt something by now. I'm going to stay gluten free, BUT if I get tested for hypogycemia or something else... and the treatments on those fix me, I'll probably eat gluten again. doesn't make sense to avoid it gluten if it's not avoiding me... and then after being on gluten again for a while, I'd probably...

No, I can't gain weight at all! I'm 19, 6' and I weight a 163 lbs! I'm getting tested for Hypoglycemia next Thursday... maybe I'll focus on the thryoid next, if it's not sugar levels...
-
nope, I don't get stomach pain. just C and major brain fog... my brain feels fuzzy. and fatigue... cold hands, etc. I've tried foods as well, I think I'm going to go a different route for now and keep playing the guessing game. that's all this is, a guessing game. I'm going to get a blood test next thursday and see where my sugar levels are at... if...

ARCHIVED Okay, We Need Some Humour At The Expense Of......
7-cody replied to Canadian Karen's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
hahahah nice... I laughed out loud... clever ending too. -
I've been soy free for eight days now... not feeling any better. what does make me feel better though is to eat a lot, like every few hours eat something. meats, seafood, etc... make me feel better. Next Thursday I'm going in to get tested for Hypoglycemia... we'll see what happens. Anyone know how accurate the enterolab tests are? I got a 17 or whatever...

I hardly ever eat rice though. do you think maybe a few of those caused brain fog for you, or just rice? And damn, what the hell do you eat? (heheh) what kind of symptoms did you have before you started avoiding different foods? I get brain fog and C, which are my primary and most concerned symptoms.

can I get a RAST test from any family doctor etc? Also, has anyone had any success with either the rast test/elimination diet/rotation diet? Is it possible to find out I'm allergic to something, avoid it and then have my brain fog and fatigue be 100% GONE. does that ever happen or am I just wasting my time?
-
Is this the elimination diet? I want to try it. Is it safe to eat nothing but rice and chicken for a few weeks? Do I need to do more research or is it as simple as just eat chicken and rice?
-
I probably should have asked you this earlier, but what are some of the improvements/symptoms that disappeared since you went soy free? Also, do I want to read ingredients still or do I just check for "soy"?
-
Wow, okay, I'll have to try that. magnesium eh? going soy free didn't help your constipation? I was reading the other day that soy can affect you a WEEK later, it can also last a week... so I'm guessing ill probably need to go soy free for like at least 2 weeks or so to feel better... You sound just like me. all of your symptoms except sleep apnea...

ARCHIVED Casein Intolerant And I Ate Cottage Cheese
7-cody replied to SUZ42's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I was going to say the same thing. "Word." -
I don't eat out as much anymore. And if I do, it's either Outback, Roadhouse or Chili's. Sometimes I go to other restaurants with my friends, if I do, I get plan lettuce with chicken salad or something.
-
thanks! yesterday, I ate a crapload of tofu for the heck of it. Needless to say, I feel like -insert bad word here-. I hope I'm not imagining things. Its hard to tell what kid of reactions you get when you already feel crummy, but my head starting pounding a little and then it went away after a while. Now, today, I'm so brain fogged I can't even do...
