    My GI doc told me everything looked fine after my endoscopy. As you see in my signature my blood tests were split results. After the blood tests but before biopsy I did a 2 week trial on the diet and had great results. Then back on gluten for 6 weeks for biopsy.     I agree 105 isn't that high, especially with no family history. My FIL has diabetes and my husbands last fasting blood sugar was 109 and his doctor isn't too concerned.     Yes that's true. What blood work was done? I've done lots of reading on this to get it clear in my head. We have 5 different immunoglobulins. IgA, IgD, IgE, IgG and IgM. IgA and IgG are specific to celiac disease and if these are elevated then you have celiac disease. IgE is the one that would be elevated if you have wheat allergy and is the test they run...

    Hello and welcome. Were you diagnosed as having celiac disease? celiac disease never goes away. It is not an allergy. Maybe you have a wheat allergy which is very different than celiac disease.     It's a regular thing for me if I get glutened. Search 'upper left abdominal pain' on this forum. It's been talked about a lot.     This will be my first too, but I always get a Turkey called a Willie Bird. I think they're local birds out here in CA. They're organic with no added hormones and stuff. Then I brine it overnight. YUM!

    If you are doing the cooking and you get a plain, naked turkey and cook it gluten-free, you will be fine. If you are going somewhere else you'll need to find out how they are preparing the turkey. I don't know that I would trust turkey meat from a turkey thats been stuffed (cc would be a huge possibility)

    Go out (or order on Amazon) Danna Korns book 'Living Gluten Free for Dummies'. Great beginner book for new Celiacs. There are endless lists on these boards of safe foods from various manufacturers and stores. Print them and keep a binder.     Went to the GI doc today and he says it's still most likely from the celiac and that he would expect it to take about 3 months of gluten-free eating to subside. He did order up a ct scan just to be sure.

    I agree. They'll make you sick in more ways than one. Partially hydrogenated oils are like poison for your heart. I stopped them long before celiac. Even Celiac Specialties have the hyrogenated stuff in them. BHT too-BAAAAAD stuff IMHO. Baking your own is a good option as you could use canola oil.
