ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something

Thanks Sherry and Andrea. Here's a neat Open Original Shared Link about peptide immunotherapy (the allergy shots I was and will be doing). This article says that it increases cytokine IL-10 and suppresses pro-inflammatory cytokine production. Basically, it helps balance out the immune system while supressing specific allergens. Very interesting. -

Well, I'm back! LED went very well, and I feel amazing (well, I felt amazing ). I had to go off the abx since both of them have SLS in the inactive ingredients, so I'm expecting a herx. The BioSet guy (Matt) said that at this point I'm testing to have 6 groups done, but they can be done in 4 sessions. So (hopefully) everything will clear on the first... -

April, I should've mentioned this in my last post, and I think I've mentioned it before. Ehrlichiosis was the only Lyme-related thing I've ever tested positive to, but my LLMD said that since I had a co-infection then I most likely had Lyme. And, obviously, he was right. Birdy -

Ehrlichiosis is the one co-infection I tested positive for. It causes flu-like symptoms, and is treated with Doxycycline. For at least 2 weeks. I only have a slight EMF sensitivity. When I'm on the computer for hours at a time I feel slightly more anxious, and more revved up. But other than that I really don't get any symptoms. And that alone isn't going to keep me off. -

Thanks for the feedback. At this point, from what I've learned of the immune system mine is very unbalanced towards the allergy side of things. In terms of getting the Th1/Th2 sides of the immune system balanced, I'm extremely imbalanced towards the Th2 side. My NK count is very low, and my Eos levels are extremely high. This makes a ton of sense with... -

Ok, everyone. I've been thinking over a plan of attack since I have my Sulfa LED coming up on Monday. Love to hear what y'all think of it. 1) Have Sulfa LED. 2) A week later have peptide shot. 3) Two weeks to a month after LED see if I need another one, if not then re-do DMPS IV push and urine collection. If necessary pursue chelation. ... -

Has anyone tried using EDM has nailpolish yet? You paint a layer of minerals onto your nails, and then cover with some clear polish. I found some semi-natural polish Open Original Shared Link that I'm going to try and get my hands on. Must investigate a new was to use EDM! -

Nancy, Dr. S told me to take it on an empty stomach. Any ideas why? I'm going to definitely start researching this. Also, I'm going to start on those peptide allergy shots again. They held me at a semi-stable point post-steroids and pre-lyme treatment. I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle with these allergies. I need some relief, and don... -

Jin, I'm glad things are going well with Dr. D! He seems to be just what you need right now. Donna, Sorry about the results from the biopsy, but it's glad to know now. Hormel has a lot of gluten-free microwavable "meals" (they're a disclosing company). At walmart I saw a lot of them. Dole has the mini fruit cups, which are good for snacks. And Bush's baked beans come in little cans with pop-top lids. Also, sunkist tuna comes in handy cans (so does their salmon) and some in little tear-open packets. Making a tuna (or... -

There are several brands of oats that are gluten-free, and advertized as such. The one that's easiest to find in the grocery store is McCann's, I think. Not sure. Mom and Sister used them and didn't have a problem. I'm allergic to oats itself, so I didn't try it. There's also cream of rice and cream of buckwheat that's similar to oatmeal... although... -

I'd get your pediatrician to do an IGeneX test, just for peace of mind. Those sound like the most common symptoms for teens. Of course they can be from other things, but the arthritis... that's suspeicious. EE is Eosinophilic Esophagitis. It's where the eosinophils gather in rings of basically scar tissue in my esophagus narrowing it. Topical steroid... -

EOSIN refers to the number of Eosinophils in the blood. There should be both an absolute number and a percentage. The more eosiniphils you have the more "allergic" you are (true allergies). I have both an eosinophilic disease (EE) and high eosinophil levels (11%, the highest "normal" level for the labs I've had CBCs at is 10%). My drs aren't too concerned... -

It's doing quite well, Andrea. Not perfect, but I'm no longer oozing puss or having my skin flake off. Ugh, Kassandra! I'll be praying for you. I'm glad the diet is working for you! Wow, I haven't posted in waaaaay too long. I just met with the Dr to discuss my chelation results, everything was within reference range (Mercury just barely), but all of my minerals were waaaaaaay low. How often do you all clean your brushes? I try to wait at least 5min after I put on my eczema creams to put on my makeup, but mine become goopy really quickly. After that, no matter how much I buff it looks like I'm wearing plaster. I think at least a once-a-week, if not twice-a-week cleaning is my fate. -
