Thanks for that website. I just wanted to clarify that I am not new here. I use this forum so much it's ridiculous. -

I wouldn't trust anything catered unless you call ahead for a gluten-free meal and make sure they know about CC. Where did you get this SW salad? Can you trust the place? And the tortilla chips? Were they 100% corn? I noticed you didn't say that. That's probably it right there. This sounds scary. Are the fries gluten-free. do they have... -

Hi everyone. I'm not new to this site, I have celiac disease. I need info for a friend of a friend. The boy is 2 and was just dianosed. Please give me the best links, topics, websites, etc... This girl has turned to me for help and I plan on sending her here, but first I need to get her started. Again, I have celiac disease but I don't have... -

Ugh. I went to cook tater tots and noticed they have WHEAT listed on them. How did this happen? I thought I checked the label in the store. Last time I looked them up, the website and the employees said they do not contain gluten. They will clearly mark it on the label if they change and all of sudden do use it. Well that day certainly has come. ... -
ARCHIVED Anybody Ever Have This Symptom?

Physical. I have been sick since dec 22nd. Everything I eat hurts. 20 minutes after eating... bam! pain. Hopefully its just my body healing from being glutened cause I need to get up and moving again. I haven't been this sick since the summer (pre-diagnose) -

I meant gluten, egg and soy. Sorry. although dairy isn't all that great either, so I've heard. -
ARCHIVED When Will My Belly Get Better?

I was diagnosed in Aug but I had the big C, so it was different. Not better or worse just different. Aug was a strange month but October I was regular and it was a great month. Nov started to change up a bit and Dec started to get worse. Now I am trying to figure out if I have other problems besides celiac. Reading these posts makes me realize the first... -
ARCHIVED Elimination Diet Gone Wrong?
misdiagnosed6yrs replied to misdiagnosed6yrs's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I realize I started this thread as an elimination diet and yes I did cut out dairy until my doctor said go back to eating food. Thats when I had string cheese. I was going to start a new thread but I didn't want to have to explain why I was eating the foods I was eating. If what I am feeling is a reaction from the glutening on dec 22nd.. wow. thats a... -
ARCHIVED Elimination Diet Gone Wrong?

Excellent advice. I'll take it. But I thought Bob's red mill oats were okay. I don't need to be eating oats, I don't even care for them. It was for a cereal substitute. The salsa thing was stupid. I realize that. The doctor told me to look up a gluten free diet and do it. He told me to go to a dietician but after reading stories about them... -
ARCHIVED Elimination Diet Gone Wrong?

I'm pretty sure I was glutened a few days before christmas. Then I had really bad pains last week and again a few days ago. After the first one mentioned. I have not been better. So, that makes total sense. If indeed there is wheat in the plaster in my house, then, I am putting myself in danger every day. They are trying to hurry and finish, then clean... -
ARCHIVED Anybody Ever Have This Symptom?

I feel ya. This last summer was the worst ever. I saw a neuro, a gyno, an endo, a gastro..etc... oh don't forget the mental doc. I had ultra sounds (please note the plural there), cat scans, biopsies (again plural). I was falling apart. I had more problems at 31 then someone twice my age. Things were happening to my body that I never knew existed. I'll... -

The problem is that your not eating right. If you have thyroid and celiac and your not doing everything to treat them, it can cause many problems that don't make any sense. Can you be tired and wide awake? sure. I've been there. I have hypothyroid and celiac. When I first cut gluten out, I had the infamous insomnia. It seems its a typical side effect... -
ARCHIVED Elimination Diet Gone Wrong?

I agree that its looking like chicken is a culprit. I used to be a vegetarian and I would be ok doing that again. The reason I started to eat chicken again was because of my misdiagnosis. For a while I couldn't eat salad, tomatoes (esp tom sauce) and dairy. Things changed and I ate that stuff again, 6 months later, I have celiac disease. Sald went right through... -
I have been working on my house since the beginning of Nov, doing destruction, repairs and remoldeling. The latest was putting up the drywall, mudding, laying down the ceramic tile (which means mixing and pouring adhesive) and today, I have to do the grout. How do I find out if any of these construction products contain gluten? I have heard that drywall...

ARCHIVED Elimination Diet Gone Wrong?

- Thats the thing. Going to the bathroom has nothing to do with it. Never. If thats what I have to do, it's ok with me. In that case, what should I be eating to give me strength and/or energy? I just don't know what to eat, at all. -

I realize this. about the chicken. But you see, thats all I eat. If its not chic stir fry, its baked or broiled or even chic burgers. I have never been sick like this before. I considered the fact that it's a protein and maybe I can't do proteins but chicken? really? I also was sick the other day but had eaten baked turkey. I thought maybe it was the whole... -

My doctor told me to eat, just not foods with gluten. yesterday I ate : 3/4 c. applesauce no reactions 2 hours later string cheese 2 hours later no symptoms. hungry though. rice cakes with peanut butter (peanuts and salt)(no reaction) gluten-free oats with sugar 1c. later had more with honey (no reactions) Today I ate: banana ... -

That is so funny. I was much nicer too. You feel better and body is more balanced therefor controlling possible mood swings. After going gluten free I came off my mood meds that I was on for 10 years. They were makingmy heart beat right out of my chest and I never knew. My heart rate got to 198 in just 5 minutes working out. So they took me off and thanks... -

One thing I forgot to say is that although something may be safe today, it may not be tomorrow. That is frustrating as well. So although I have these lists. I still need to check the labels every time. Its much easier to buy in bulk! -

Relax. It is overwhelming. This was what I did... Google searched everything. Its funny though cause all of the searches came back to this place. I typed in gluten free lotion, gluten free laundry detergent, gluten free shampoo... etc... I have so many lists, it could last a life time. There are many options out there and in no way should you feel... -
ARCHIVED Help Accidently Glutened My Son
misdiagnosed6yrs replied to mac8005's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
How old is he? I'm not sure if throwing up would matter. Chances are if he consumed gluten and is already affected by it... I know that when I was glutened I drank as much water as possible, hoping it would wash away whatever gluten was in there. Others have recommended the B.R.A.T diet which worked for me (I think) Thats banana, rice, applesauce and... -

WOW. I read the first one. The problem with looking up your symptoms is that you can relate to many. I started with lactose intolerant, then IBS but they said I had a severe case. The one thing that throws me off is I don't get D, I have always been C. Well, for 7 years. I will look into everything I can tonight cause my appointment is tomorrow. Thanks
