I appreciate it, but honestly how am I supposed to have a normal life? EVERYTHING revolves around food...everything. and what if this all is permanent? I can't date because no one will tolerate all my health problems...trust me any normal woman out there will think its odd when a seemingly healthy 35 year old male is so obsessive and strict about food...

Many thanks again! I just had an endoscopy in Dec and no ulcers - doc only noticed duodenitis and even biopsied the area and it was ok. I just pray that if i do have a fructose problem that its temporary and will go away. Seriously, I cant restrict my diet any more...gluten, dairy, eggs, & soy are bad enough - fruit was the only thing left that I can...

Thank You Very Much! I am drinking Marshmallow Root tea as I type this I was taking digestive enzymes for a while and they really helped but had to stop cause they were irritating the gastritis (I was on Biogest which contains pancreatin, Betaine HCL and ox bile). Last week my GI doc gave me some Ultrase pancreatic enzymes and I had to discontinue...

Hello All- I never thought I'd be making a post like this again, but unfortunately my situation has taken a turn for the worse and I'm about 2 steps shy of checking myself into the hospital. I cannot eat ANYTHING without feeling sick. I have had this duodenitis for 4 months and its getting worse...I am barely eating now and the pounds keep dropping. ...

ARCHIVED Can I Have Fructose Intolerance Too?
jasonD2 replied to jasonD2's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
So you never eat out? I haven't eaten in a restaurant in months but I will probably have to in February. My company is having their annual sales meeting and they all go out to dinner every night. If I don't go with them it won't look good and people are going to make fun of me -

How did you heal your gut? Also this may sound nuts, but I did a very light workout today which included some weight lifting and for the rest of the day I have had bad heartburn and indigestion. I havent worked out in months because of this, but thought i would try again today. could gastritis cause this as well? Lifting weights is my only chance at... -

Is it necessary to cut out all supplements? I feel that I need some to improve...i.e. probiotics, certain vitamins, etc. i was just tested for nutritional deficiencies and i suspect that i have quite a few- my doc will want to address those and even incorporate IV treatments into the mix. Glad you made progress..maybe theres hope for me too but i just... -

Is it possible that I am intolerant to fructose? I am trying to treat gastritis now and fruits seem to be irritating it. I had no fruit today and feel a bit better. If I have to cut out fruits and sugar now what am I going to do? I cant have gluten, dairy, soy, eggs and now fruits? im really running out of things to eat and my mother is worried sick because... -

ARCHIVED Indigestion/Gastritis Not Improving
jasonD2 posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
My recent endoscopy showed mild duodenitis. I was taking supplements for candida back in September and they started to cause indigstion, so i stopped. well it never went away and now im finding it impossible to eat. i am drinking chamomile, slippery elm and marshmallow root tea and taking licorice lozenges before meals and its still not improving. some... -
Thanks for the kind thoughts and prayers Yep i cook all my vegetables and as for fruits, lately they have been upsetting my gastritis - could be fructose intolerance too. i also try to keep sugar to a minimum cause of the bacterial overgrowth & also sugar increases stomach acid

I got the test today- should get results next week. If I have Lyme I have no idea how im going to be able to tolerate antibiotics now...antibiotics triggered my celiac and food allergies and are the sole reason why my health is all messed up. If i go back on a long course i may as well kiss my life goodbye cause theres no way i will survive

ARCHIVED Question About Enzymes
jasonD2 posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Hey folks- I recently posted on enzymes for pancreatic insufficiency. I started taking them yesterday and have already noticed an improvement in my bowel movement, however, they are also causing upper GI discomfort. I feel like after i take them there is a heavy/full sensation like my food hasnt gone all the way down. Is this normal? I really feel... -

Ok- im seeing my doc tomorrow and will request a test. Can Lyme be treated? i dont think my system can handle a course of antibiotics now (if i do have it)
