  1. They sell this at the Asian supermarket I go to in the frozen section: http://www.roadfood.com/photos/9688.webp It's in a little aluminum pan and is called coconut custard cake, but it's a creme brulee style. Completely safe and pretty good. Can't actually say how good it was though because I tried it frozen then let it sit out to be licked by cats...
  2. That's why we need to share Julie! Even if it seems obvious. Personally I spent months and months looking for a milkshake fix. I looked everywhere online and the only recipes I could find were for smoothies which don't have the same consistency (sometimes even horrible). The only thing I found claiming to be a gluten-free/df milkshake had a video and the...
  3. Well let's see. The ice cream was $5 a pint, I THINK. Maybe it was $4. The strawberries were $3.50 (and I had a bunch left over so maybe more like $.50?), and the soy milk was $2 with a lot leftover so maybe more like $.75. So at most $7 with tax. Still I don't usually use soy milk or often indulge in 5 star quality strawberries like that so it was a bit...
  4. Next up is the chocolate whenever I want a milkshake again. I'll use the chocolate flavor, and probably keep the vanilla soy milk. I'll probably toss in a couple of those tropical brand semisweet chocolate chips (which I got for half off!!) too. To the lady above who can't find the coconut ice cream: I'm sooo sorry for you and I feel your pain! The town...
  5. I went to Whole Foods today and had the cafe section in the back blend up fresh, in season, local, organic strawberries, vanilla purely decadent coconut ice cream, and vanilla Pacific soy (can probably use almond or rice). It was heaven. TOTALLY DECLICIOUS. Thick, full of flavor, smooth, refreshing, and totally convincing. The thick viscosity of a decent...
  6. I'm not strict paleo at all. If something needs to be eaten, it will be eaten without regard to any kind of moral restriction. Though I do keep myself in ketosis and have been following a ketosis based way of eating for a year now. I feel, or usually feel, way better on it and can maintain a positive mood and boat load of energy on it rather than consistently...
  7. I take probiotics (acidophilus) and ginger capsules. At one point I was taking pancreatin but didn't feel it helped much for it's cost. Revitalx also didn't help too much.
  8. What is a gentle meat I should look into? Or do you think I should try going fruitarian/raw vegan for a couple of days to let my stomach clear out? Even though I had a lot of D the other day I still feel clogged. I've never done something like that before but people claim that it helps them "go" and is a good way to spend a couple of days healing up.
  9. For the last few weeks I've been going haywire with my regular diet. My body no longer craves meat at all and it's been a major problem (probably why I've been pushing my luck described in the other topic) because meat is the major part of my diet. My body runs far better on fats and meats (and I happen to like them more than bland piles of rice) so I...
  10. It's definitely a brain chemistry thing. As the rider I can 100% know it's a bad idea, but the horse is just running amok. Though I didn't give in and feel much better today even though one of my worst fears is coming true. MEAT might be bothering my stomach. Today after eating some beef my gut was instantly gurgling and I got a little gassy. And the...
  11. For the past few weeks I've been doing great. My stomach was bloated for a good chunk of the summer and finally it started to go down. But then I started pushing my luck; eating things that I've been avoiding just because it usually irritates me. I've decided to avoid all starches and grains because they usually clump up in my stomach and cause way more trouble...
  12. Wow, maybe! Though soy sauce, soy ice cream, tofu, and lechitin don't seem to bother me.
  13. Emphasis on CARRAGEENAN because it took me 5 minutes to learn how to spell! And I still don't get it. Sometimes I can drink something like say pacific hazelnut milk and have no problems. It will make me feel kind of full but that's to be expected. But then I'll go and drink something like Silk or pacific almond milk and my stomach will instantly bloat...
  14. Watch out for chick fil A. They fry their fries in peanut oil. Luckily I looked them up online before going there. If you're okay with peanuts, then pig out! They look good.
  15. Regularly adding in a lot of flaxmeal helps me be more regular. I'm talking like 2 to 3 ounces a day. As for bloating, I'm still working on that. Though today I feel much better even though last night was a little food heavy. I suspect coconut milk from the curry. Or maybe the ginger (even though I supplement it). Whatever the case, my stomach is the flattest...
  16. Wrong. Look: Open Original Shared Link The cookie dough is with soy though. Sorry.
  17. Banh Cuon Tan Dinh on 2850 SE 82nd St. suite 11. (503) 445-6807. It's by the fu-bonn marketplace. The place is great and the owner I talked to spoke English clearly and mentioned things that the most hardcore celiac looks out for before I even ran through my list of questions (stored in my head). The food is EXCELLENT.
  18. Hey sickchick, don't you know that purely decadent has a coconut milk line? The cookie dough is SPOT ON if you love cookie dough ice cream.
  19. Oh, well I go to the gym often and do a lot of cardio and leg work so my legs get pretty "empty". My refeeds help combat that.
  20. I would say the neem is worth it. I still get bloated, but it feels different. Less gassy and more unnoticeable. Also I think it's a lot less than before. There's still three days worth of pills left in the bottle but I kind of felt like I should just stop taking them. Should I take the rest?
  21. I had these today. They are okay, but not grand. Open Original Shared Link
  22. I discovered one of the best storebought sauces ever. It's crazy delicious. Poured on asian meat dishes, or fish salads with hazelnuts pieces. Oh god. The brand is Follow Your Heart and it's called Creamy Miso Soy Ginger ingredients: Filtered Water, Vegenaise
  23. I'm almost done with my bottle. My stomach still gets bloated, but it feels a lot better (less burning and pain. Though it could be because of the ginger and acidophilus which I started supplementing about 4 days ago). Right now it's pretty bloated, but that's to be expected (but maybe not). Last night I had two pints of ice cream, figs, and bananas for...
  24. Pomegranite Chip: OH MY GOD! WHY HAVE I DEPRIVED MYSELF OF THIS FOR SO LONG!? I never picked it up because I never got into this pomegranite craze. Everything pomegranite I tried tasted like crap. But since it was on sale and I heard someone liked it I thought it wouldn't hurt to try it. It's one of my very favorites. It's like a very delicious raspberry...
  25. I tried some new ones. So Delicious Yogurt Cherry Vanilla Swirl: Very delicious. Tastes like it sounds and the cherry flavor isn't so tart. Good texture. 8/10 Coconut Milk Blueberry: Ehhh.. It's okay. Pretty runny with a kind of disturbing grainy texture. The taste is kind of bland. I've had baby food that taste really similar to this, which isn...
