  1. thank you so much for answering any questions i have, you're a big help, i've learned so much from this site...it seems like most people with celiac got it for similar reasons, and there's a lot of mysteries behind it all
  2. hmm, there's supposedly a great doctor not far from here...lucky, they really do test for a lot though? i'm EXCITED for that, because these normal doctors just don't know much about complicated issues....question though, carla, you saw my other thread...based on my symptoms, if i DIDN'T have lyme, what could i have? cause you said you felt exactly how i did...
  3. also Open Original Shared Link would that be a possible specialist? i'd be nice since it's near by
  4. so you contact that company, they send you it, and you see a lyme specalist? hopefully there's one here...but nobody else can diagnose that test? i mean it HAS to be a LYME SPECALIST, right? hopefully there's one around here...what's the deal with double negatives though? =\
  5. supposedly i got tested for lyme but a lot of my symptoms sound like it, i wonder if the test he did wasn't a good one or something...i have no clue
  6. i don't think i have lyme, but i'm sure celiac isn't the only thing i have...still waiting on a SMART doctor but ah, it's so strange/complex isn't it! people look at you like your crazy sometimes when you try to explain, i know prior to this i would have too
  7. i see plenty of people say the basic neuro symptoms, but i have had some crazy ones since i've been sick i've felt really strange, for example my thoughts, reactions, responses, it all seems really different...i know i have brain fog, but sometimes i have the a word right there but just can't get it out, i feel stuck, if that makes sense...it just...
  8. yeah that's normal, a lot of people are like that. nothing bad/to worry about...actually i wonder too because i know it's common, but i wonder what causes it...maybe just being used to it, who knows
  9. thanks for the advice everybody!!! but yeah neurolly i just feel so weird, i feel like everything people say goes right by me, nothing just feels right....kind of freaky if you ask me, it's like....so hard to explain, i know how you people feel, it's just like there's no flow to things like there is normally, it's all off and a hassle....being sick...

anybody else have it? oral allergy syndrome, it's when fruits, vegetables and nuts bother you because they give you an itchiness in your mouth and throat, sometimes a major swelling....supposedly it can be healed easy and it's popular, but anybody have an experience with it? i never ate fruit, veggies or nuts much because of this, not like it was making me...

    ARCHIVED Brain Fog

i don't get how people say they feel that off gluten, i feel EXACTLY that way now (not on diet yet)....to the point where once i say something, i know what i'm about to say after but space out, so everythings all broken up and i can't even remember even though i do...hard to explain, but my memory/concentration is shot to hell and emotionally/mentally so...
  12. they have these new cough drops, ginger ale flavored and they seem so good caramel citric acid flavors glucose syrup water should be fine right?
  13. ^i agree with you, i think it's all out of control....moderation is the key to anything in life even a pack a week was fine, that was like me, at most....i had no health issues, no problems stopping if i needed too...a strong mind and moderation=success but this is from a person who had severe athsma as a child, it all just depends of course...
  14. i think it all depends on your body...i remember i was extremely sick as a baby, almost DYING, and reacting to EVERYTHING....all my mom said was they put me on an immune medicine for like a year, and i know that for years and years and years and years and years i had no issues...it's funny cause things like fig newtons helped me but i ate horrible...
  15. yeah, i've just had the luck of all bad ones ...it sucks cause at the moment, i don't have insurance...i've been shut down for a lot, it's sad that health is jeopardized like that i remember when i had severe athsma as a child, didn't have insurance then either and the BEST specialist around took me in, for free, and got me much better....it wasn't...
  16. oh and another thing since i randomly can't edit my post i believe i had it when i was a baby, i was really sick and unexplained...for years and years i was basically find, and i ate and drank and treated my body terrible, and it all backed up and hit me, and now it reminds me just like i was when i was a baby i think it all depends on how you treat...
  17. i think what KB said is a big hint....seems like plenty of people have it, it's goes away, then comes back...why? because your body can't handle it....yet it can when it's strong enough too i've heard lots of stories, there's people who have it, it goes away, eat gluten, then a few months later have a lot of issues....sometimes, like the person said...
  18. yeah i need an immunologist/neurologist, ever since i had an insane acid reflux attack my nerves have just gone crazy, along with my body obviously. literally, the right side of my body feels inflamed/stiff...i have a dull feeling right in the center of my chest, glands popping around, locked up spine feeling...still a lot unanswered, but hey what can you...
  19. all of the symptoms i see people have with "gluten withdrawal", i have normally since i've been real sick, like: "The addictive nature of gluten is often overlooked. For some, the first days and weeks of following a gluten-free diet are characterized by food cravings, disorientation, irritability, sleepiness, depression, mental fogginess, fatigue, and...
  20. would it be wise to just wein (sp?) off gluten then? it sounds just like drugs/medicine, unless you wein off you'll go through hell....i mean, why WOULDN'T you just have less and less gluten? it'd be easier to get into the routine i'd assume...or hope
  21. well near me, there is supposed to be a top allergist/immunology....i've been through too much BS with doctors and need things tested like thyroid, food allergies, ect....i just had a crazy immune weakening thing happen a year ago that started all this, and what i hope for is to have a doctor that can listen to all my systems, check all levels, deficiencies...

    ARCHIVED My Rant

yeah julie, but it still isn't something that's meant to be digested, so eventually it'll get to everybody....like lots of caffeine may be fine for somebody while it isn't for others, but that person may eventually get worn down from it just based how the body is....but hey, what can you say? and yeah ken i never thought of it really that way, but i...
  23. no offense to fans, but does that really surprise you? fast food places are so dumb, i've had green fries too many times

    ARCHIVED My Rant

does anybody think that gluten may never be used again? or a much bigger, better selection will come into play, at most restaurants? people seem to be smartening up, because you turn on the news and what do you hear....illnesses, suffering, shorter life span, obesity society is scared and should be...everywhere you turn now, drinks have new herbs and vitamins...
