  1. I have a hard time telling that I'm losing (or gaining) weight by how my pants fit, as I wear baggy guy jeans. I'm almost 20, a little over 5'4, and probably wear a 12 or 14 jeans even though I only weigh about 135 lbs. Just a little confusing for me. And, you're right; losing weight is addictive. I never even think about it until I notice that I'm losing...
  2. I can't figure out if I'm hypoglycemic.. or if what's happening to me is just normal. Yesterday (for example) I had eaten a piece of pumpkin pie (around 2), but had forgotten to eat anything of substance after that. Then, around 6, I went and had a Gluten-free Casein-free mocha. I definitely felt the rush from the sugar and/or coffee. After a couple hours...
  3. I have also lost weight since going gluten-free (15 lbs). I'm now down to 135 (which I once considered my ideal weight). However, I'm still as chubby as I ever was, which I think is weird. I know people that are my height and my weight, that don't have anywhere near the same build as I do. My pants may be fitting a tiny bit looser, but other than that, I...
  4. I'm pretty sure you're talking about the same pizza crust I've used. I don't find it exceptional in any way. I think the soy cheese made it worse. I just eat cheeseless pizza.
  5. I have yet to have a decent pizza. Shortly after going gluten-free, I started reacting to dairy products. The last pizza I made was probably the best I'd made so far. I just left off the cheese. I also have not been able to find a soy cheese that even slightly resembles the real thing. I have some of the gluten free pantry french bread and pizza mix that...
  6. I like cream of rice cereal, only after I put maple syrup and brown sugar in it. Mmm.. I eat Fruity Pebbles on a regular basis and have never had a problem. But, if you're looking for a chocolate cereal, I would recommend Koala Crisps instead of Cocoa Pebbles. Those are really good and CF as well. I also like Peanut Butter Panda Puffs. They just have a hint...
  7. I've tried the Wild Oats brand of rice milk and Silk soymilk.. and really couldn't tell much of a difference. But, maybe that's just me. I think they're both a little too sweet. But, the chocolate Silk is pretty good. I haven't tried the almond milk. Is it any more expensive than the soy or rice milks? Has anyone found a decent cheese? And, one more question...
  8. I've been gluten-free for 6 months (after being diagnosed as gluten intolerant), and now, I can't even imagine going back to a gluteny diet. Most of the junk that people eat has gluten in it, and I think that just makes you feel even better when you go gluten-free. I feel healthier now. I'm actually eating vegetables! I've even lost about 15 lbs. Of course...
  9. I seem to always be pretty tired... which for someone that's 19 and gets up most often at noon.. is not normal. I've been gluten-free for 5 months.. felt better.. then felt worse.. went CF... felt better.. now feel worse. I thought maybe the H2O2 treatments would kick up my energy and stuff. I also had suspicions of candidiasis and read that that's a good...
  10. I have used Provon Medicated Anti-bacterial liquid soap for some time now, because it is recommended for cleaning body piercings. However, it lists hydrolized vegetable protein (HVP) as an ingredient. I know this does not always contain gluten. Anyone know any info about it? I tried emailing the company and they didn't respond. I don't know what else I would...
  11. I was just wondering if anyone here had tried any form of oxygen therapy. I have been looking into the use of ozone and hydrogen peroxide and I haven't found anything bad about it. I'm really interested in trying the intravenous hydrogen peroxide therapy.
  12. I started having problems with dairy products after being gluten-free for a few months. I cut out all dairy. But, I was still having some problems. So I started taking milk-free acidophilous everyday. I've been taking it for a few weeks now and have slowly started reintroducing dairy products with no problems. .. Just a thought.
  13. Thanks for the reply, red! I was concerned about the bacteria, so I've been taking ProBiotics. I've been feeling so much better! I can even eat dairy now.
  14. I knew that.. I was just thinking.. the other way around.
  15. I would think it would all be okay. Shouldn't gluten have already been absorbed? Since your partner has no problems with gluten, then it shouldn't be part of the bloodstream. That's my 2 cents.
  16. What's the deal with leaky gut? How do you know if you have it? Could it be the sole cause of food intolerances? What about bacterial overgrowth? I've been really suspecting it, so I'm getting ready to go get some ProBiotics. If this was actually my problem to begin with, would that mean that I could overcome my intolerances once my gut healed? I know there...
  17. 1) I am not really sure when I became gluten sensitive. But, I have had stomach problems for as long as I can remember. I was once diagnosed with depression. Although, that was in my early teenage years. I have Tourette's Syndrome. I have had persistent respiratory problems though. I got pneumonia at the age of 9. I had strep throat last year REALLY bad....
  18. My endoscopy wasn't nearly as bad as my colonoscopy. The stuff they sprayed my throat with kind of started to wear off as the procedure neared. But, as soon as they put the amnesiac/painkiller in my IV.. I was pretty much out. I remember gagging a little when he was trying to get me to swallow the tube. I know I was "awake" a little bit after that, but I...
  19. My bad.. it's not Wholefoods.. it's Nature's Way.
  20. I recently purchased a multi-vitamin and am kind of weary about taking it. I've had problems taking vitamins in the past. The ingredients include barley grass and wheat grass. The woman at the health food store called the company and the company said that they were gluten-free. Do you think they are alright?
  21. There is one of three things making me so nauseous immediately after eating them: dietz and watson honey turkey, alfalfa sprouts, or hellman's mayo. I am casein intolerant as well as gluten intolerant. I don't know why sprouts would make me sick.. but who knows. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  22. I've been gluten-free for about 3 months now.. but I've had one reoccurring symptom that is really hard to explain and no one ever knows what I'm talking about. The only way I can explain it is to say that my insides just feel dry. This feeling usually causes my lower left side to hurt. Has anyone else ever experienced anything similar to this?
  23. How can I tell when I have a food intolerance?
  24. Thanks for all of your help, guys. I just feel so lost. I know gluten makes me sick.. so obviously I stay gluten-free. But, I still get nauseated quite frequently when I eat. Before my doctor diagnosed me as being gluten sensitive.. he told me I had chronic gastritis. But, he never mentioned it again after that one time. He diagnosed me with the gastritis...
  25. So, should I go back and get the skin test? Do those detect intolerances?
