ARCHIVED For Those Who Are Never 'right', A Word About Yeast
Eric-C replied to Eric-C's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
No script. Over the counter, about $50 for a bottle that will last you about 6 weeks if you take 4 per day. Results were within 2 days and after a full 6 weeks I went down to 2 pills per day. I've mentioned it to several doctors and none of them had any concerns, its all natural and is not toxic compared to other yeast treatments. I've read extensively... -
ARCHIVED For Those Who Are Never 'right', A Word About Yeast
Eric-C replied to Eric-C's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Here is a list of problems which I think attribute themselves to yeast, and NOT gluten, but glutening is the reason for the yeast and a general inbalance that people with Celiacs have:. These are all symptoms I've had, and ones that have gone away since starting on a yeast treatement 1. Neuropathy. Burning palms, cold legs/feet. Burning sensation in... -

ARCHIVED For Those Who Are Never 'right', A Word About Yeast
Eric-C posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I've been meaning to post this for a few weeks now. First off this is my story of what happens with me. It may not be what happens with you however I am meticulous in tracking things and for a living I design solutions to problems so over the past years I've come to a conclusion on why even after giving up Gluten I had my ups and downs. The last piece... -
ARCHIVED Bi-aglut Pasta - Fantastic!
Eric-C posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
We used to buy Deboles but when I was at the Celiac bakery the other day they had it so we tried it. Absolutely awesome. Deboles Rice pasta worked and was edible but was always lacking that true pasta taste. We hated their corn pasta but this Bi-Aglut is incredible. Its corn based but tastes almost the same as real pasta, there is some flavor missing... -
We tried another product from Celiac Specialities. Its their potatoe based white tortillas. They are fantastic. First off they look like a flour tortilla, they are large, about 8 inches in diameter compared to a lot of gluten-free products which are 1/3 the original size. They fold/roll OK. Its not perfect but they don't split in half. Best part...

ARCHIVED Gluten Free Sage?
Eric-C replied to Eric-C's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I'll try Morton's or Bassets. Its not food poisoning, I know my symptoms. The brand she had bought had no label, might even have bought it up in Canada since it was partly in French. Thanks for the info, its one of our favorite dishes because its great for left overs for a few days. -
ARCHIVED Gluten Free Sage?
Eric-C posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
We are very strict on our gluten-free diet but over the winter I kept having a slight problem I never nailed down. We had a cool weather wise weekend so decided to make stuffed chicken. Woke up last night with stomach pains and cramping. Had lunch just a while ago and D followed not so long after. The only thing it can be is the sage. We make... -
ARCHIVED Bbq Sauce
Eric-C replied to LuvMoosic4life's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Nealy's BBQ sauce, sold at Wal Mart. Perfect for a gluten-free diet since its made with Apple Cider Vinegar. We love it. Its a bit on the thinner side however here is a great recipe for BBQ ribs that we make that gets rid of the thin make up of the sauce: 1 slab BBQ ribs, baby back best Mix together brown sugar, paprika, and garlic powder to make... -
ARCHIVED Celiac Specialities Rye Bread/flavored Flat Bread Review
Eric-C replied to Eric-C's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Ok it is a Mock Rye bread. Its excellent...we've had it pretty much every day for lunch since we tried it. The price I was wrong on...$9.86 per loaf. So out of a loaf of bread we can make 8 sandwiches with ham/turkey/swiss cheese/mustard or may at a cost of $2.35 per sandwich. That's $.80 higher than a good multigrain bread per sandwich. You probably... -
ARCHIVED Celiac Specialities Rye Bread/flavored Flat Bread Review
Eric-C replied to Eric-C's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I react to walking by a bakery...its gluten free. Everything they sell there is gluten free. Still I'll double check with them tomorrow. -
ARCHIVED Celiac Specialities Rye Bread/flavored Flat Bread Review
Eric-C posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Celiac Specialties opened up a new store in Novi, MI that we're pretty close to. We tried their Rye Bread and their Italian flat bread. We also sampled the white bread. White bread was decent when toasted. Way better than any others we've tried but still not close enough to real bread for us to eat it. The Rye bread however was great. Not good... -
ARCHIVED Vlasic Pickles
Eric-C replied to Becci's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
There is something funny about Vlasic pickles with me too. I can eat ketchup no problem, horseradish, no problem, and plenty of other grain alcohols and vinegars. I have pickles or things like tartar sauce and I have a problem. I have not tried other brands as of yet. It causes a very unpleasant burning sensation in my nerves and also muscle tension... -
ARCHIVED A Warning: Sweetie Pie's Bakery In Northville, Mi
Eric-C replied to Eric-C's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
The place is spotless, that I can say. I've been through the entire facility. The food was excellent, no doubts. -
ARCHIVED A Warning: Sweetie Pie's Bakery In Northville, Mi
Eric-C posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I had posted a while ago about Sweetie Pie's Bakery in Northville Michigan, although they do business elsewhere in Michigan having a complete gluten free line. Their pizza dough was fantastic but had a strong similarity to Sami's down in Florida which is not gluten-free. I had it once and felt great....they had a lot of gluten-free products including... -
ARCHIVED Pickles, Relish, And Olives
Eric-C replied to kerrera's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Thank you for posting this! I gave up hot dogs for a long time but last year got a craving for them. Had one without the bun, no problem...had a few more and got sick in a much different way than regular glutening. I'd get an extreme burning sensation in my lower back and caused nerve problems. Went away after a while but we both like pickle relish... -
ARCHIVED Candida Meds - Which Ones Work?
Eric-C replied to Eric-C's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Candex is it and I'll probably add in the caprylic acid too. What an amazing difference. After my last glutening I decided no more and we ate strictly at home. We called every single company for every product and unless we got an emphastic YES it went in the trash. Still had odd issues and I went nuts trying to figure it out. We did buy the Yeast... -
ARCHIVED Candida Meds - Which Ones Work?
Eric-C replied to Eric-C's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Thanks for your replies. My Candida problem seems to solve itself quickly if I stay away from sugars. I need a trigger for it to really get going and that trigger is either gluten or anti-biotics. Without those two I seem to be good regardless of what I eat. This has been a bit of a wake up so I will cut back on the bad stuff. I started drinking... -
I posted up in the other thread about leaky gut. I finally did some research all night and did the spit test this morning. That came back as positive for Candida. It also made me hate doctors.again.... Long story is I took Cipro 4 years ago before knowing I had Celiac's and it put me into 6 months of continuous problems. Now from reading...

ARCHIVED Temp Leaky Gut And How To Fix
Eric-C replied to Eric-C's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I forgot to mention. These were the severe results. Now knowing what I know this all started one night back in October 6 years ago. I was in the basement on the phone and had a panic attack, never had one in my life...that was the first time Celiac's showed itself. Things were up and down for years but even when the Celiac's seemed to go away, and... -
ARCHIVED Temp Leaky Gut And How To Fix
Eric-C replied to Eric-C's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Well for me it was extremely problematic. I originally years ago thought I had a severe reaction to Cipro which caused: nerve damage, uncontrollable shaking of the hands/arms/legs muscle damage memory loss Thorasic Outlet Syndrome Planter fasciatis(sp?) insomnia waking to a extremely rapid heart rate muscle tension in the calves, shoulders, and... -
ARCHIVED Temp Leaky Gut And How To Fix
Eric-C replied to Eric-C's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Thanks for the reply. My leaky gut symptoms thankfully are not usually long lasting. I've been through this a few times and usually it takes a week or so to heal up, this time just seemed worse because now when I go back and look I probably had 3 opportunities where I had gluten over the span of 10 days, each little bit creating more of a problem. The... -
After having an incredible year with my Celiac's things fell apart. I was taking some anti-biotics and it turned into leaky gut I think...plus it didn't help that I also has gluten unknown to me. I'm fighting feelings of hypoglycemia, and real hypoglycemia if I don't eat enough. I am just on the border...I took some anitbiotics along with Tum's smoothies...

ARCHIVED Fish And Chips
Eric-C replied to LDJofDenver's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
We do our own and batter it with Zatarains. They sell a HUGE container of it at Sam's for around $6.00. Gluten free, got a bit of a kick to it but we do Cod and Chicken Wings with it, great stuff. -
ARCHIVED The Best, Bar None, Gluten Free Pizza I Have Ever Had
Eric-C replied to Eric-C's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Sami's out of Tampa Bay Florida sells a "gluten free" pizza dough which has been found not to be gluten free. I had a single piece and felt fine so I ate the entire 12" pizza was sick for 5-6 weeks. We just had our second round for lunch this afternoon and it was great 2nd day, no ill effects at all.
