    Hi captaincrab55 I tried the pasta at Olive Garden in Bangor Maine a couple of weeks ago and it was delicious. I did not get cc'd. The waitress was also Celiac as well as another employee so they were well informed about Celiac.

    I have had Shingles 7 times in 18 years. When I get them I usually get them twice in a year about 4 months apart. But in the last year I had them 3 times in a nine month period. I have been gluten free for 19 months. So, I had them more often since going gluten free. You cannot get Shingles if you have never had Chicken Pox sometime in your past...

    Price for Glutino bread is now back to normal - $5.99 instead of $7.99. We have Mr Steven Singer (owner of Glutino) to thank. Here's is Mr. Singer's latest email regarding the increase -

    I don't know if it is because Mr. Singer contacted Superstore or maybe more customers complained, but the Glutino Cheese Bread price is now $6.99 instead of $7.99 - an increase of $1 instead of $2. So far the Flax Bread is still $5.99 but the shelf is empty......will the price go up when it is in stock? I guess it helps to complain.

    Here is the prompt response I received from Steven Singer (the owner/president of Glutino) - Thanks for the message. I am as shocked as you as we did not raise the prices - it sounds like the retailer did. I will check into this tomorrow and see that we get this figured out. Again, we appreciate the feedback.     I purchased Glutiono Cheese Bread today at SuperStore and the price had gone up $2 - from $5.99 to $7.99. I was told that it was not a mistake and the price had gone up on Friday.     IBS - within 2 days saw an improvement. Did not even feel anything wrong with my stomach after 2 days - my son had same experience. BM's decreased from 5 to 7 times per day to 2 within a couple weeks of going gluten-free. Very seldon get a <gurgling> stomach any more. Acid Reflux - was on medication so was already improved.     The rest of my family don't think we should change her diet at her age - she loves bread and sweets. I think if she started feeling better as fast as I did she would be okay with it. If I had a test that proved she had an intolerance then I would maybe have them on my side. I may ask her to try cutting out some things even for a couple of days. In 2 days...

    If I knew that there have been some positive results I would try it on my 90 year old mother. She has a lot of the symptoms but we don't really want to put her through all the testing at her age. So if it really can produce a positive result then it would confirm which side of the family we have inherited Celiac and then we could try my mom on a gluten...

    I have seen quite a few Biocard Celiac Home Testing posts but I don't think I have seen one that says there was a positive test result for Celiac. How accurate is this test? Has anyone had a positive result? Thank you in advance for your response.

    I am thinking about getting the Biocard to test my 90 year old mother who has all the symptoms but my family doesn't think that we should put her through the trouble of testing and following a gluten free diet at her age.     I had almost constant nausea for a few years before hearing about Celiac. Within a few days of going gluten-free the nausea disappeared. I had eliminated some hair products because they had wheat protein. After reading a lot of posts saying that gluten in these porducts could not possibly affect you, I started to use them again.     B+ dark blonde hair & blue eyes - Scottish, Irish, English descent. I also have an antibody in my blood (anti-c little c) not sure where it came from. I did have a blood transfusion a couple of years before the antibody was discovered. Does anyone else have an antibody?

    This recipe is the greatest! We don't have a Whole Foods in our area but on a spring trip to Portland Maine I purchased their Morning Glory Muffins and fell in love.     Thanks a million jerseyangel (Patti) - this recipe is now my Sugar Cookie recipe - I don't have to look any further. Even my fussy husband thought they were good. Now all I have to do is decorate them to take to surprise my celiac son on Boxing Day. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

    I love the Glutino white cake mix. It only makes a one layer cake so you have to use 2 mixes to make a layer cake. I made it for Thanksgiving in a recipe from Kraft for a Pumpkin Cake. It was delicious - even non celiacs liked it. I've also used it in the Barbara Mandrell cake many times. I think you will love it.
