  1. ......I am 30 years old and still find food in my stools...lol.... Well my doc gave me betaine hcl (a supplement to increase stomach acids) cause she said that because of candida our stomach doenst' produce enough acid to digest food. That was very helpful for me, and I started digesting immediately.
  2. I must agree with what the others posted!! they are right. don't do that. it is toxifying your body and it is most likely that you develop an intolerance + it is not healthy. you are missing vitamins from other sources. the 4-day rotation is working perfect.
  3. I think I like that!!!
  4. It surely helped me! no more food in my stools (sorry....grossy I know...) The candida symptoms you mention sound a lot like the ones I had. .....
  5. ok! than I'll do that too since it is a practice already followed. (I'll try again to send the pm I wanted..)
  6. ....Hi Rachel. (I tried to thank you for your pm but your message inbox was full and you couldn't recieve any messages) well I meant not thread but you know. like forum. like a category. I don't know how to express that in english. LIke the ones we see on the home page of the forum. forum for leaky gut issues, forum to discuss anything BUT gluten, forum...
  7. .....I think that someone mentioned that some time but I can't find that post. Well here is the question. Do we have or do you plan to make a candida thread????Sorry if this has already been anwsered, I really can't find it. Thank you Meline
  8. Hi. My therapist gave me a Betaine HCL supplement, she said it is for improving the amount and the quality of my stomach acid so that I can digest food. Ever heard of that??? Anyone that has any info about how low stomach acid helps candida to overgrowth and makes the rest of the body acid???? I mean, is there any one who actually has experienced something...
  9. Yesterday was totally hell right in front of my house. about 500 stores in the centre of Athens are ruined...... They even burned the huge christmas tree... Today things are better.I think they are actually calming. Thank you ken...! as for the endoscopy, I was in pain cuz the laxatives didn't work and my intestine was full (grossy....!) and they filled...
  10. .......after the endoscopy the pain for me was just some hours.....I really don' t know the answer to your question. But 3 weeks is not a safe period to make conclusions about celiac. Have you checked your cosmetics, did you get rid of old wooden stuff in the kitchen, (wood hides gluten), did you avoid cross contamination etc?? any way I guess your...
  11. The pain after the endoscopoy is - at least for me was - because they fill your intestine with air in order to stretch it and take a good look or take a biopsy. I think it was the worse pain I've ever felt in my life. Now are you sure you are 100% gluten free?? most of us couldn't do it 100& for several months. There are so many places gluten could...
  12. going gluten free causes changes in your hormones. It is a whole revolution for your body. Talk to your doctor, I agree. The only problem I had when I went gluten free was irregular period (which was regular for 14 years in a row). This irregularity lasted about 8 months. ....there is always a chance that this has nothing to do with going gluten free...
  13. I am so sorry Shayfl.....I really don't know what to say. My prayers are with your brother and his family. You have to support him and be strong for him. I can't even imagine how painful this must be. Keep us informed about his progress. Iknow many people who went through really difficult situations and are healthy now (leuchemia...) so please have faith...
  14. Ok I was posting exactly at the same time with Riceguy and I really don't know if I am repeating what he said.......I just posted and saw that someone else had some seconds earlier posted.
  15. Hello Cross contamination doesn't mean that gluten is spreading (though it is an interesting point of view the way you put it!!). It means that if your husband is eating bread and you ask him to give you your gluten free bread, if he touches it then he is contaminating it. Other example is f you all eat from the same marmelade jar and people put their...
  16. oops.... I forgot that!! and it is very very important!!!!! Meline
  17. Hi and Welcome! I am sorry for your loss..... I hope you will soon feel better. It must have been hard for all the family.. now..Let's see your celiac related problems. Nobody will be able to give you a healing time. It is very common to feel better in 2-3weeks and then still have some issues that will go away gradually in several months or years...
  18. ok here we are still where george just got married with dr. Tores, Berk and christina plan to get married and Derek is happy that Meredith survived from the sea accident. I am making a great effort not to read the thread and see what is happening next....... But I LOVE that series. There is a group in facebook that is named "sshhhh.....grey's anatomy is...
  19. wow!!! there is one thing you are missing!!! patience..... I think you think that it is more easy than it really is. You were sick for how long before your diagnosis? I bet it was more than 4 months. And it is only 4 months since you started your treatment. Your body is not a robot. I wish there were "time vitamins"......but there are not. You have...
  20. OMG=Oh my god!! LOL=Laugh outloud DH=Dear Housband (and Dermatitis Herpetiformis.......simple coincidence... .) *&@#*%^#ghrrrrrrrrr = I am starving and I want to eat pizza NOW :D
  21. I think you use something for constipation and something for the opposite (I can't spell it and it is a greek word....omg) I think you use C and D for each one.
  22. ok....you just posted once my words and then second time your reply. You can do both in one post. He gave you the book "The yeast connection" and he did not talk to you about the diet???????? please search the net and get some info about candida and yeast overgrowth.
  23. I think you forgot to add your post... .I can only read my words. Try again
  24. Hello When your doctor said yeast didn't he mention any changes in your diet? I have a major yeast problem. I' ve lost many pounds, I am extremely skinny and it is just impossible for me to put on any weight, but I am on day 21 of my treatment for yeast and I think that I am doing better. When you have yeast problems, antifungals don't work if you...
  25. Ok this could be celiac, this could be candida overgrowth, this could be many things. A gluten free diet is more than safe and it is sure that even if you are not celiac, it won' t hurt you. But it is a diet with many restrictions. I suggest you run some blood tests for celiac. If you go gluten free, then you will not be able to have these tests (as mother...
